Full Bore Isolating Valve 15mm is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bore dough These cost more but as everyone else points out will offer an unrestricted flow through. Being full bore of this particular design means the operation screw needs a bit of attention to get it lined up fully closed, otherwise it'll merely be not quite. We fitted full bore to everything, which certainly makes a difference on a shower, but when it comes to a basin mixer with its own smaller bore flexi connections might render it a touch pointless. However, they do look good, and they (as far as I'm aware, and again, due to the particular design of the valve) don't have a direction of fitting, they should work either way. Out of consistency I was fitting all of them with the larger area body nut flats on the supply side. Check the dimensions if you're replacing an old valve with these, as everyone has pointed out, these are a bit bulkier in all dimensions (except time).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the job Good product and appears well built. I now always use the full flow shut of valves as they cost very little more than a standard valve and you don't get a pressure drop leading to reduced flow. This is especially important as, over time, you might get more than one stop valves in a system which could then reduce flow significantly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 15mm Full bore 1/4 turn valve A solid 1/4 turn full bore isolation valve. No reduction in pipe size through this valve (full bore) so little in the way of flow rate reduction and dynamic pressure loss. Not a bad valve for the money. Like most of these types of valve they could be better than they are from a design point of view but they would probably be harder to manufacture and cost more. For instance it would be nice if they had a closed stop instead of the ball freely rotating. this means that the user has to get the quarter turn close to spot on to be completely closed or completely open as there is no mechanical rotation stop / limit. it would be slightly easier to fit if the body of the valve was a constant hexagonal so as to facilitate holding with a spanner more easily. This valve has a hex shoulder on one end. If you use the hex shoulder to hold the valve while tightening the compression nut on that end, the holding spanner will foul on the nut being tightened so a narrow jaw adjustable spanner can be useful. this is not a flaw in this specific valve but almost all full bore ball valves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well, built well Product seems to be durable and the quality seems really good. Time will tell the full picture. The item does not feel cheap as some do, and it just feels like a good quality item. Closes off tight with no flow of water - does what it should do! I've already bought & fitted several.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best service valve These are the only service valves I fit now as the cheaper ones can eventually leak around the adjusting screw. They are full bore so no loss of flow and I often fit the tap/toilet flexi straight onto them which also enables you to adjust flow especially on mains pressure and between hot and cold. They are slightly larger in diameter than the cheap ones so allow a bit more space between the pipe centres/brackets. A reliable piece of fit and forget kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 15mm Isolating Valve Excellent piece of equipment. I have used a number of these valves in the past and never had a problem. As I renovate my property I am replacing all the old service valves with these valves. Good value for money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from iso valve solid product. Would be better if same length as normal iso valve. To enable easier fitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid piece of kit I purchased this isolating valve as I was installing a new toilet that didn't have an existing isolating valve on the water feed. It seems very solid for the price, with an easy to turn valve. I am very pleased with it so far. Would recommend for any purpose where 15mm full bore valve is required. I have not rated performance or reliability high as it has only been in for 3 days. I find that at least a year is needed before evaluating fully.
