Armeg Stubby Wood Beaver Set 3Pcs is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for softwood not ply These are great provided the lead screw thread is engaged in the material to pull the bit through. The lead screw is the same size regardless on the drill diameter, so works much better on the smaller size. The drills pull themselves through uniform material - eg joists very well, until the conic thread begins to exit, at that point its down to you to do all the pushing - at arms length with the bigger diameters thats tricky. In 18mm ply they really struggle if they hit a void or a soft bit and loose the "pull". Better off with a cheap flatbit at that point! Also, the first time you hit an old nail (never mind a modern screw) , game over, so be careful, they are not very hard steel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They work for gardening too!! I saw a web site where they were selling augers to make holes for flower bulbs. Using a 25mm bit, my wife and I planted 50 bulbs staggeringly quickly. Might not have done the bit any good but it is so good for making holes in the ground!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOGGIN DRILLING FOR CABLES I bought these for drilling from above through noggins in a stud wall for cable access. The noggins were about 18 inch below the header so I used the stubbys in conjunction with the Ebauer 300mm extension rods. This worked well but you need to take it steadily to avoid misalignment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True performer Apart from the price, I would reccomend these to any one who wants to drill floor joists. I recently had to run some cat6 network cable under the floor upstairs. I used the 20mm stubby beaver (to get inbetween the joists) and it chewed through the wood like it was butter. I brought this product having brought the long 12 mm version to a job and liked the performance. I would recommend it's used with a impact driver in stead of drill simply because the impact action of the driver breaks the wood chips up and because the chips are smaller the cutter does not clog up, saving you time not having to pull the cutter out to unclog the hole. It also has the 1/4 drive on the shank so it fits in most impact drivers as well as most keyless chucks on drills drivers etc. I have also used it on plastic facia, because of the sharp tooth design on the outside of the flutes you get a clean cut hole (less deburring required) that you wouldn't get with a hole saw or normal drill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a knife through butter Can not recommend these drill bits enough for first fixing through joists eats through and saves loads of time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ferocious! Expensive, but they are exceptional drills. I needed a short 16mm wood drill to get through joists for cables, and it needed to fit the 10mm chuck of my 14.4v drill and get between the joists. This has a 6mm (I think) standard fitment so it was spot on. It chews up the wood especially at slow speed, for some reason the last bit to bust through takes a push. Brilliant drill bit, but should be for the money!
