Rated 5 out of 5 by from superb wood bit Used this drill to make 10mm holes in 100 desks during a computer install. Drilled like a hot poker through butter. Superb bit, very sharp & easily cut through desks using 24v Dewalt cordless drill. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Bit as the wood is dry Bought two of these to create 10mm holes in 75mm posts for the bolts when building a kids play fort. I bought two to be on the safe side should one fail as I had a LOT of holes to make. I needed to keep removing the bit to clean if off. Very time consuming and annoying, The effort was worth it though as the holes were well formed and accurately placed with little to no blow out on the end piece. The posts were pressure treated ones but a little damp. I kept the off cuts with a view to burning them. As it turned out I left the old off cuts in my basement for about 4 months and then used them as table legs. (after smartening them up on the Planer / Thickness er I needed the 10mm drill bit again and it worked rather well. So just to test this I clamped three 75mm off cuts together and drilled it with the 10mm drill bit and an extender, it did need to come in and out a few times but it managed the cut well. My work was all pine some damp some dry Dry good result easy effort Damp good result lots of effort

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bit Used for drilling through a combined 9cm post and 4.5cm joist. Drill bit did this with ease on a minimum chuck grip - 24V cordless drill. Drill pecking was obviously required at this depth to clear wood swarf - good practise anyway for accurate hole diameters and reduction in drilling fatigue. A pleasure to use this tool (correctly) and would definitely recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not recommended..... I've just used this on some 3" and 4" fence posts that were a bit damp and it clogs instantly. You have to keep taking it out of the wood and clearing it. The '1/4" Hex Shank' is also badly designed and it works loose in the drill. It did eventually do what I wanted but I wouldn't buy another of these.
