Bailey Steel Jointed Black Drain Rod Set 12 Pieces is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 146.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit for purpose. Purchased these rods to clear a chimney of twigs and birds nests! Worked fine, flexible enough to work into the opening but not too easily bent. Not sure how long they would last in everyday use but perfectly adequate for the average DIY'r.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drain rod Excellent tool for those tasks that need doing and normally cost a disproportionate amount of money. Easy to use, very effective with minimal physical effort, saved me money. Super value for money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy unblock drains just bought these today and after a callout to unblock a commercial car park did the job in no time, i also unblocked a sink drain on site using the plunger and completed the job very satisfactorly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value, but be cautious We have a recurring problem with old drains at our house and decided to take the plunge (pardon the pun) and invest in our own equipment. The rods are versatile, good value and certainly did the job. After a short while lifting covers and assembling to the required length, a couple of plunges cleared the problem. The only reason I've rated them down slightly is because despite tightening the joints fully by hand, during the unblocking one rod did loosen and the end attachment came unscrewed completely, fortunately we were able to reclaim it. So no big problem, just something to bear in mind whilst using and ensure they are tightened fully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drainman Worked a treat for my job, it was done with plunger and took about 10mins, in my mind it saved around £100 call out fee for someone else to do it. It took me longer to park the car than do the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great for single usage I guess I've had these for about 2 years and up until today they were fine. I have an issue with my drains (re - neighbours) and every 6 months they need rodding. I bought these to extend my brass set, which I've had for over 7 years. Upon using them today 3 of them snapped at the steel joint, two of which happened before they went too far to reach, but one that was beyond recovery... Leaving the rest of my rods between my inspection cover and that of my neighbours. I had to buy another set (this time with more brass fittings) to recover my rods and to prevent a more permanent blockage. If you only want one use then buy these. It will still work out way cheaper than calling out a plumber or drain 'expert'. However if you need to rely on these time and time again then you should purchase the ones with the brass ends - they simply last longer.
