Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mr A Jones This product is poorly designed, is difficult to use due to the poor design. Is also inaccurate a straight parallel line cannot be achieved and the cut is always jagged. Went back to my electric 500-watt unit to finish the job with accuracy and good tile finish cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is supposed to Excellent value and does the job adequately ,Having read other reviews I was double checking measurements independently rather than relying on the scale provided. Good bit of kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big clinker Exceptional performance and cuts porcelain and ceramic easily upto 11mm thick, any thicker l don't think you would get a clean cut, I would recommend getting a few spare cutting discs if you are doing a large job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Clinker Brought a different brand for half the price from a tile shop and it was rubbished. Then borrowed a big clinker from a friend and wow what a difference. Next time I needed to tile I went and purchased my own. Great bit of kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the price Cuts 10mm porcelain tiles with ease, so absolutely delighted with that. The slide rule isn't spot on, it's out by about 2mm, but that can be compensated for. The slide action is very smooth despite the scoring which develops on the underside of the rails with use; and the breaking force required for these 10mm tiles is very reasonable, so there's great mechanical advantage in there, and more importantly, no hint of flex in the rig while you're applying it. The cutting wheel it very effective, although the cuts can wander very slightly - less than 1mm side to side in a 600mm tile, so you'd have to really have to look for it, but it is there nevertheless. I've not looked at the wheel to see if there's anything that can be done to improve that. As with all cutters, very important that any debris from previous breaks is cleared from the breaking zone before you attempt to cut the next tile - you may need a brush to be sure of this as shards do get caught between the breaker and the mats on either side of it. All in all, it's no Rubi or Sigma, but you're not paying Rubi or Sigma money either; and for the amount of use it's going to see in my hands (<150sqm), and given the fact that the bulk of the cuts will be covered by skirting boards by the time all is said and done, there's really no need for it to be. Final opinion: + Breaks 10mm porcelain *WITH EASE* + Very smooth cutting and breaking action + More than adequate even for the above average DIY-er - Silde rule isn't bang on - Rails will wear with use - Cuts aren't always 100%, but you'll really have to be looking for it before you'd notice Bottom line: An excellent value alternative to the full professional cutters if, like me, you're not in the business of tiling but just need to get a bit done for yourself and want to do the job to a high standard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Purchased this cutter based on reviews left by others. Very disappointed. Didn't cut straight so constantly adjusting tile. Labels and foam pads loose. Chrome rails weren't very secure. But most importantly, would not cut 600mm porcelain tiles. Struggled to score properly and tiles kept breaking in wrong place. Many tiles wasted which I have to pay for out of my pocket now
