Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good retrofit shower I fitted one of these showers as a replacement for a customer easy to fit good quality

Rated 4 out of 5 by from bristan acute I am a plumber I have fitted seven of these shower valves the adjustable centres are great for retro fits. sometimes a bit tricky finding a decent fixing for the mounting plate but no more difficult than any other make. On the plus side I have never had a call back. I read that there had been problems with o rings. use silicone lube and they will not snag and rip up causing leaks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with mixed pressure The plumbing that was installed in my house was cold water from the rising main and hot water from a storage tank when it came to the bathroom. In addition, the hot water only has about 1m head of water pressure (approx 0.1 Bar). It is quite difficult to find showers that work with this situation. The first thing is that this is a pressure balancing shower valve, so it works fine with my situation. I tried a thermostatic bar valve previously but it failed early; it states in the manual that it should not be used with a mixed pressure system so that was my fault. The second thing is that it works with my 142mm pipe centres. The product comes with adjustable elbows that simply screw in and out. I did not need to move any pipes around or cut any tiles to install this shower valve. It doesn't look daft either, like some products with angled offset pieces of metal! One other reviewer has had a lot of problems from the O-ring seals when switching from the pre-installed short elbows to the long elbows. I did not have a problem at all; there were no leaks from my shower valve. I have not needed to adjust the maximum temperature at all. I found that I was getting a maximum temperature of 36 to 39 degrees Celsius - it was higher on some days than others. I don't like my shower water very hot so that's fine for me (it's still hot), but I don't think it would be a problem to make it hotter if I chose to do so. This turned out to be one of the easier plumbing tasks I have undertaken and the end result looks good. I didn't install the riser provided with the product; I used the existing one that I already had, so I can't comment on the quality of the included riser. I used the shower head that came with it which works well with it. If this product was available as a replacement valve only, that would have been ideal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average The valve itself is good quality although the handle had to be taken off and re-fitted due to not being fitting in correct position. Easy enough to install but valve seems to make a slight 'clunking' noise when turning from cold to hot. Be aware though the riser rail is cheap rubbish, hard to fit and has grub screws which attach the cover plate to the fitting that screws to the wall that keep turning and never really grab anything. Also the the rail/pole slips through the wall brackets as theres a hols in both sides of the brackets which means it never really feels secure. Id but the valve but buy an alternative riser rail

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Good, Performs Bad This had all the feel of a quality product and the spec seemed ideal for replacing an existing shower unit as it has adjustable elbows. So theoretically, it doesn't matter what the distance between centres of the supply outlets are. However, the first unit leaked from the hot water elbow feed so I returned it. The replacement unit leaked from the cold water elbow feed so I replaced it. The third (and last!) one, again leaked from the cold elbow. The concept is fine but the O-ring washers on the non-return valve aren't adequate as they distort, crumple and split when you fit the longer elbows. On the good side, setting the temperature was very straightforward.
