Crabtree 45A Cooker Connection Unit White is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Good feedback from drjh14 and bitfixer, thnx. I needed to replace a 30yr plus cooker outlet made by MK. All of the new units have the connecting terminals at the top, whereas the old unit had the terminals at the bottom. I would have had to run a new cable in to fit these, meaning removing kitchen wall tiles. Then I saw your reviews. Yes this unit does allow you to run the cable into the top of the gang. Yes I did have a problem with fitting the cover plate but managed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor mechanical design When the termination unit is screwed tightly onto a standard metal box I found it impossible to get the cover plate to fit due to the unit's mounting brackets becoming splayed causing the threaded holes to be misaligned with the cover plate screw holes. Luckily in my situation I had spare depth from the metal box to the surface of the plaster to allow me to slacken off the mounting screws so that the face plate screws could be correctly inserted.
