Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Replaced my battered 110V Makita with this Dewalt battery saw. I had my doubts but they were mostly unfounded. Very easy to use and is lightweight and not unwieldy. Feels good in the hand. Pretty accurate freehand cuts. It does not have the oomph of the 110V/230V but that is to be expected. If you want to rip a 4x2 in half, it is going to take at least a couple of passes, and you will not get many cuts like that out of a 4ah battery before it needs recharging. Excellent on ply/mdf though. A sharp quality blade is a must as this puts less strain on the motor/battery. My only complaint is the scale for the rip guide is difficult to read accurately so therefore I very rarely use it. For super accurate cuts a clamped straight edge guide is preferred. Other than that a truly excellent saw which I thoroughly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful cordless saw This saw feels quality. First use (with 4Ah battery) was cutting several sheets of 22mm wbp ply which it did very well. I also tried it with my 2Ah batteries and noticed no difference in performance. (Obviously won't last as long but I have two). Great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin Needed to replace a corded saw, so was a bit worried this wouldn't be up to cutting worktops.....very pleased to say I was wrong. Light, easy to use and a good finish. On the negative side.....Screwfix are not competitive with their prices on power tools. But I wasn't prepared to wait. Excellent service from Llanishen Trade desk, as usual

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Circular saw This saw is in my opinion the best of its type on the market, Long battery life, solid and reliable. It cuts very precisely and is very easy to use. I would thoroughly recommend it to any tradesman or DIY user.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and easy to adjust. Used this for several days, reasonable depth of cut for a cordless saw, easy to adjust and use. It cuts accurately is relatively light in use but fairly power hungry so you definitely need two of the higher amp 18v batteries to swop in and out, or an 18/54v battery if your using it intensively. Overall very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I actually love a Dewalt tool! (read until the end please as there are 3 important comments) Right, as a chippy and like most tradesmen, I have my "preferred" brand of power tools... and its not Dewalt! BUT, this saw has just changed my mind! For various reasons I decided not to go with my usual Bosch Blue but after much research I plumped for the dewalt saw and am so glad I did. I gave the battery it's initial charge and over the past week used it. Numerous cuts through 9mm OSB, 22mm chipboard flooring and various offcuts of different sized timber. The battery today finally went down to two bars but decided to push it. Took it outside and made 3 cuts right across an old very wet 50mm worktop with oak edging. I then cut up (for firewood) two hardwood external door cills and several offcuts of oak and softwood T&G. The battery still had a "bit" of life left in it. It really is a truely fabulous bit of kit, just wished I'd bought one before. I will make 3 comments though 1) you really must cut straight. If you wander off the line it is hard to get back on it and it will kick back 2)The blade is on the left side, so it does throw bits at you 3) on thin boards you may need to hold the blade guard back manually (BE careful - its a chippies trick) otherwise it may catch and not retract fully. Otherwise a truely superb bit of kit.
