DeWalt DCR020-GB DAB+ / FM Compact Site Radio 240V is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from MINT. Had this little fella about a month now,it's very compact, light, sturdy,I'm a Bricklayer so it has to be robust. It will last just a little over two days on a 4Ah battery, and not quite a day in a 1.3Ah battery. Sound quality is excellent and volume is good. Would well recommend this radio,Dewalt have hit the nail on the head with this radio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great radio This radio is perfect small but full of sound. I really like the door you can put your phone in so it's safe and no danger of getting damaged while it's connected to the radio.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly dissapointed This works well as a radio. However, it would be even better if it charged the battery when plugged in to the mains. Also, while there are cleats to wind the power cord on to, they are a bit small for the job and there is no ways to stop the plug dangling from the radio. It works well, but it could be better and more useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great companion Brought this a few weeks ago after using a small Bluetooth speaker for ages. The sound quality is great, good volume on it aswell, perfect for noisier sites. With my 4.0A hour batteries it lasts well over a day of use. Very pleased overall

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly great with some, not so The DAB side of things is really good. The lack of presets isn't really an issue as once you power it up the first time it scans and stores all the stations. It remembers them when you turn it off and goes straight back to the last station you listened to when you power up again. It seems to pick up full DAB everywhere down here except in the depths of some coves. Sound quality is great and volume level is also great. Aux in and cubbyhole for your phone is also great. My 2nd gen MotoG just about fits, anything bigger may not. The volume level IS less through the aux in but in my experience this is because headphone outputs on phones and mp3 players are pretty low powered. Probably big brother deciding we mustn't deafen ourselves ;) So it's likely not an issue with the radio at all. I haven't used the USB charging port so can't comment. On mine, FM reception is poor. I may be able to get full digital stations in the same place as NO FM ones??? The lack of presets may also be more of an issue on FM. There are lugs to wind the mains cable round but nowhere to secure the plug effectively, which is a tedious oversight on Dewalt's part. Typically rugged build quality and a 4ah battery lasts very well. These are expensive for what they are but it seems that decent rechargeable DAB radios aren't that cheap anyway, let alone ones you'd feel up to life at work. Site radios cost, that seems to just be a sad fact. Still, they're tax deductable ;)
