Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy dry lining box I found this the easiest dry lining box I've used to date. It accommodates any thickness of plasterboard and holds securely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Appleby 2G 35mm Dry Lining B This is a very easy to use back box. Just mark the plasterboard wall, cut out plaster, put back box in and push the lugs in. Simple. The design allows for different thickness of board.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great.. Not a lot to go wrong, you'd think, but there are some fairly terrible features to these socket boxes.. On the up side they're cheap, and I'm sure they work in most situations where there's a nice, deep stud wall behind the box True, the plastic is a little flimsy but it didn't cause me too many issues. The rear knockout holes require a bit too much force and are better off cut out than banged out The biggest downer, however, is that the yellow side plugs have to be pushed backwards so they project out of the back of the box before you can snap them sideways and pull them forward. If you're installing the box in a small cavity space, such as a 25mm service void, you'd hope that the 25mm void plus 12.5mm plasterboard would mean you can fit a 35mm box in.. BUT the yellow tag is longer than 25mm, and it has to be pushed backwards before it can be brought forwards, so it doesn't fit.. You could buy a shallower box, but it is better to have as much space inside the box as possible. I ended up cutting the back end off every one of the yellow tags which worked, but then made them awkward to use because it meant losing the two plastic pips that stop the tag falling out. The yellow tags are also so loose/offer so little friction that the socket boxes easily come loose when the plasterer is working around them, meaning plaster works underneath the lip and the box sticks proud of the wall/wonky. I resorted to glueing the boxes to the plasterboard and glueing the yellow tags to the box sides to keep them in place before plastering commenced, but that takes time and time adds cost Personally, I'll never buy these again - there are competing products for the same price that do not have these design flaws
