Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good This is the entry level Drayton TRV. I find that the sensors seem to fail rather than the actual metal valve & up to now I have had to buy the whole TRV. I have fitted the sensors easily & have the metal valve as spares! Screwfix now sell the sensor only (3278R) if you want to save a few pennies

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its a Radiator Thermo valve.. The valve works well, fitted easy enough, the only thing I remember was not see-ing anywhere in the description that its 10mm when you use the adapter provided with it, or at least the one I got was. This is what I believe is a brass olive that when squashed by the locking nut shears internally and creates a lock around your 10mm pipe. Make sure you keep tightening until you hear the snap/shear and make sure you fit it the right way around. The instructions weren't explicitly clear for anyone unsure. From what I saw, this type of fitting is standard for 8/10mm fittings for TRV's. I'm only a Diy'er so feel free to get advise before attempting this yourself if you aren't familiar with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TRV These are not 10mm TRV's these are standard 15mm TRV's with a 2 piece olive adapter which are rubbish, I never use them instead I fit 3 piece olives which come with a proper copper olive. They should sell these as 15mm valves with the ability to be used on 10mm pipe with supplied adapter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Probably Ok until....... Fitted one of these along with a standard valve to a combi system recently. There was a problem with the standard valve, it had a drip on the rad connector so I needed to close the two valves so I could drain just the rad and not the system, losing the inhibitor in the process. That's when I discovered there was no way to make this valve close - some valves are supplied with a 'cap' to close them off but not this one. I found a cap that would fit, stuck a coin in it to make sure and STILL could not close the valve. I ended up draining the system and having learnt the lesson threw the blasted thing away and fitted a standard valve instead.
