Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product I have tried several of these water based quick dry products from various manufacturers and I must say that this is a fantastic product. Ended up with a very, very glossy very flat finish with a nice bright white that won't discolour with age. Quick drying and easy to clean up. Not sure how some of the people posting applied it but It was no bother at all and stuck like s$%^ to a blanket. you do have to work quickly though as it does dry quickly (which is why you want it right?). The trick is to load the brush well, keep a wet edge and apply slightly generously and as quickly as possible. Have used it on window sills and skirtings with a brush and doors with a roller. Can't fault it and much better than the other leading quick dry brands, more glossy. You will need to prep and undercoat properly though as you should.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst gloss paint I've used! I've been using gloss paint for nearly 40 years, at work and at home, and never have I used one as bad as this. It dries so fast that brushing it out thin enough to avoid runs is extremely difficult. I was so dissatisfied with the finish that I decided to wait until it had dried hard, sand it off, and start again. That's usually hard work, but with this stuff, as soon as I touched it with an orbital sander, it virtually fell off, so the durability is going to be very poor indeed. Never again!!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the rest! Water-based gloss paint has improved greatly in recent years. Okay, claiming it is 'High Gloss' is a tad optimistic (a sort of shiny satin), but it is the best of its kind that I have used. It appears thicker than regular water based gloss and so seems a little like a regular oil based version. However, there the comparison ends as you do need to apply it quickly in small sections and don't over brush - so beware of runs! It is a good option for skirting boards, architraves and frames, but not so easy to apply to large panels - such as a flush door.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great First time I've tried it and I have to say I won't be buying it again. I'll be sticking with the Normal Dulux solvent based gloss. You get a far better glossier finish. Better thicker coverage. This stuff just left a finish which I felt looked cheap. Not impressed. Never again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its OK ... The paint goes off very quickly, in a matter of a minute or so. I found mixing plenty of water about 20-30% + gave me time before it wanted to dry out. The balance is difficult as too much water it will run. I had the odd run here and there, wet sanded the run with 180 grit sand paper, and repainted, perfect. A roller was no good, so used a good 2" brush. Dulux say wipe down the surface with a damp cloth first, i had a fine mist water spray bottle to help. I did not want to use oil based gloss because of the yellowing effect you get from it over time. So I hope this helps you overcome the ultra quick drying, which leaves to pulling marks when you overlap the paint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so glossy I applied this to a four inch shelf that had had two coats of undercoat applied with a rub down after each coat. The prepared surface was matt and smooth - ideal. This gloss "feels" like oil based paint as you apply it but that's where the similarity ends. It dries so fast you get drag marks from the brush even if you touch an already painted area after just a few seconds. The second coat didn't like sticking to the first coat as if there was contamination on the surface. My nice smooth shelf now looks like it was painted with a bog brush and the gloss is uneven after two coats, . After the Christmas break it'll get stripped and redone in proper gloss paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality paint This paint goes on well and has given a good gloss finish to all of the doors I have completed so far. It does need 2 coats, especially when repainting existing yellowed paint work. It does give off a bit of a smell and is the reason why I painted them (flat) in the garage. When this tin runs out I shall be buying another.
