Earth Rod Clamp Spilt Type 5/8" is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so hot Of three clamps bought at the same time, one was not threaded at all. Given this is an earth clamp, and subject to damp, not impressed that the nut and bolt supplied are low grade zinc plated rather than brass or stainless steel. Would be better if proper wire retaining washers were supplied too, as correct crimp terminals and crimper are not that easy to get.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has 10mm bolt Bolt is 10mm. Not problem in itself, but Screwfix don't sell any compatible crimp lugs, so you will need to buy these elsewhere. (8mm lugs can't be drilled out, not enough material).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unthreaded version is hopeless This item used to be threaded internally and therefore screwed onto the top of the 5/8" expandable earth rod (87633), providing a secure fit with good contact area. Brilliant! The latest delivery was unthreaded and can't easily be passed over the threads at the top of the rod. Even if you manage to force it on, it's then only clamping onto the tips of the thread. Far less secure and very poor contact. If you fit it further down the rod, it leaves a big chunk of rod sticking up that prevents the assembly fitting under a standard MK earthing-point box. Hopeless! Consider carefully before buying...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit the 5/8 rod This clamp is too big for the 5/8 rod. It will clamp onto the rolled threads but not the main shaft of the rod. This doesn't make for a particularly reliable connection and given that you sometimes end up cutting the rod to length is not right good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lug size The one I got needs a lug with a 10mm hole, rather than the 8mm as indicated in the description, so make sure you've got the right size lug.
