Eclipse Spring Hinges Satin Stainless Steel 43 x 103mm 2 Pack is rated 2.4444444444444446 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Specialist hinges I bought these for our door between the kitchen and utility. We found that only 2 hinges would not take the weight of the heavy wood and glass door. But 4 work fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy This is only suitable for a very lightweight door. The spring is not strong enough to pull the door flush. I needed 2 pairs of these to support an internal kitchen door.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from weak Bought a pair of these for a 22kg door and the door started sagging after a couple of days, had to buy proper pair of heavy duty ones from local ironmongrer which were up to the job. Screwfix refunded my money no problem but I had to fit the new hinges free of charge, would not reccomend

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Double sprunge hinges We had a pair on a door that was working fine for about 10 years till it suddenly gave in and i went and got a pair of these eclipse hinges to replace them. The hinges keep allowing the door to sag down. They dont retract aswell, i ended up changing them a few times till i gave up on these and got myself another brand from elsewhere, which works as it shud

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what's needed. Right name The spring hinges is actually becoming scarcely known with some stores given it another strange name. screwfix just got it all right for me, simple and concise search. Great value for money and bulk purchase encouraged again, I ended up buying 10 pairs. The simplified user manual helped alot for necessary adjustment. durability is still under study but so far so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not up to the job Please Screwfix put the weight limit for these on the page. I bought for a kitchen door. They weren't even close to being up to the job. Even at max tension they couldn't cope.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor hinges I'm replacing the same kind of hinge bought from the same supplier. The last two way hinge pack I bought lasted 12-15 years with no problems till one hinge broke. The new pack of two way hinges doesn't have anything like the same amount of spring power in the fitting, no wonder it is suggested that three hinges are used. They are sold in pairs still. This makes you buy something you can't fully use. I will have to put back the hinge that is not broken to finish the job. I've gone over the recommended tension by almost 100%. I'm not using it on a door though but just a half height wooden gate!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good for heavier door Screwfix don't specify weight, but referred me to the manufacturer helpline who told me "25-35kg should be fine". My door is no more than 30kg glazed. Even after buying and fitting a second set, the top hinges are pulling themselves apart after just a couple of months use. Now replacing with 6" hinges from another range (with stated max weight and width - and I note their 4" is only rated 20kg and 700mm).
