Rated 4 out of 5 by from very pleased on initial use would have given it all 5 stars apart from the dust bag which is very flimsy and the zip broke. as it matters not as I'm using it for an outside job I'm not bothered. on itial use did what I wanted with ease.up to now would recommend for the price but ive only used it once

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Got so hot rollers melted. I had no experience with belt sanders and needed one to smooth out a workbench top I made with very twisted 2x4's. I popped on a 40 grit roll and started sanding, letting the machine do the work as demonstrated by an expert on Youtube. After 15 minutes I was impressed with the the results when the belt ripped off and jammed into rollers. Half of the belt was worn and got so hot it melted the rubber rollers, the other half showed no signs of wear. The machine is much heavier on one side than the other, and only sands on half of the belt under its own weight. I plan to put weights on the lighter side to balance it. I will also run it in shorter bursts to allow it to cool. I believe more expensive machines have aluminium rollers that help to dissipate the heat created. I guess you get what you pay for. I am contemplating of putting a teflon sheet over the steel friction plate to reduce the heat generated as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really pleased! I bought to take down some fairly rough scaffold boards to make robust shelves. It's done a good job of this. Dust seems to be much better contained by the bag than expected and the base plate is handy for stability on narrower pieces. Doesn't feel scarily powerful as I had expected and would not want anything less powerful than this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sander at a great price I wanted to get a linisher, but couldn't justify the expense; read couldn't afford it! When I saw the design of this, I bought it straight away; this was due to the two holes in the handle. As soon as I got it home and checked it was working, I set about making a frame, with mounting bolts passing through the holes in the handle. I now have it mounted upside down, bolted to the bench as a fixed sanding belt; brilliant. Had it about two months, works a treat on a number of jobs I have done.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It was good until..... Oh dear oh dear. The collection of this belt sander was nice and easy as normal with Screwfix. Now I know it was cheap but just 3 days later I was back at my local Screwfix. Why? The sander lasted just 2 days before it refused to work again. Yes I'll say it again it was cheap but just 2 days cheap! Anyway good customer service and I went home with a new replacement of same model. Wonder how long it will be before I'm back at my local Screwfix for another replacement?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price! My belt sander blew up after years of use and needed a new one for a job, this is great for the money, belt holds alignment well and the motor is strong! Don't expect bells and whistles but it does exactly what you need a belt sander to do!
