Rated 4 out of 5 by from Routed Out Lovvely bit of kit for the money. Rumour (Google) said I'd need a 1/2" router to avoid vibration but cutting into pine I had no problems at all, helped make a scary job DIY possible :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Energer Router Although I am still getting use to using the router, I find it easy to use. It looks well made and robust and a fraction of the cost of some of the top of the range routers. It does what it says on the tin for an amateur DIY man

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy cheap, buy twice. Worked well for twelve inches before casting holding the shaft lock fractured. Returned for a replacement, second one didn't even get passed the tightening stage before the same happened again. Upgraded to a more expensive model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A bit breaks off with each use Bought this in February for a Welsh Dresser project and it coped okay with the grooves needed for the door panels, although the plunge lock lost its screw and coil. I'm now on the shelf part of the same project and need a new router. First the spindle lock broke right off, leaving a hole in the metal casing, so I had to start changing bits using two spanners. Then the plunge lock started slipping instead of tightening, Evenually the plunge lock broke right off, leaving another gaping hole in the cast metal casing. It's as though every time I used it another piece broke off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for DIY'er Only had a couple of days so hard to tell reliability but if the same as other Energer products it will last, I have used it and it does a great job, highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap and cheerful router The screw holding the spindle lock broke 1st time I used it, poor quality casting I suspect. A 12mm spanner holds the spindle for bit changing and the router itself works fine. Has done everything I wanted to and with decent router bits I see a lot of use from this affordable and perfectly capable machine

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cracking Kit I think for the price this is a great bit of a kit. It spins up and it cuts! I found easy enough to move about the work piece handheld and also I have mounted it under a table. The lack of an ON button lock means a cable tie needs to be used. The one thing that did let it down was the screw quality holding the base in position, one was cross threaded and due to the soft metal of the screws i just couldn't shift the other without rounding the heads. Instead to mount it under the table i used the parallel fence bars to create a clamping point for some makeshift wooden block clamps. Overall for a wannabe DIY'er it's a great purchase for the price.
