Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not buy era locks i had problem with old lock so rather than try to fix it I decided to buy brand new lock from screwfix my son a joiner fitted the new lock I tried it and thought it was not as smooth movement when unlocking I thought that it might be because it was new and a bit tight I got 4 keys cut as this was a rented property and gave them to the tenants 3 days later I got a phone call from 2 of my tenants telling me that they could not get out of the flat as the lock would not open after about 4 hours they managed to open the door AS I WAS ON HOLIDAY IN TENERIFE I had to call out a locksmith who told me it was a faulty lock and that ERA HAD A VERY BAD REPUTATION WITH LOCKSMITHS he put on a brand new union lock cut me 4 keys and I have had no problems since UNFORTUNATELY HE CHARGED ME £80 FOR THE JOB THAT HE SHOULD NOT OF HAD TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE
