Erbauer Air Impact Wrench ½" is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Impact Driver! I previously had a cheap impact driver that was a disappointment. Tried this one, and although better, was still not very powerful. Then I found advice saying that my 8mm bore airline was too small for a driver. So I bought a 10M, 10mm bore airline from Screwfix (1583H) and it was like night and day! You can hear the driver spin up to a much higher speed, and it now has the power to undo almost anything! I also like the 3 power settings for tightening-up, so that you can Nip a bolt up, and then finish off with the Torque wrench. The driver is heavy, so to keep it in good condition I have made a high-density foam sleeve which I've cable-tied into position around the body of the driver, to protect it when you put it down hard on the garage floor. Works a treat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!! This is fantastic:) I was coming to the end of my tether trying to remove an exhaust manifold to turbo bolt and these things are notoriously tough to remove. I was using my trusty breaker bar, but I couldn't hold enough pressure on the socket whilst turning the bar (this bolt is right at the back of the engine bay). So I did a bit of searching online and a lot of people were saying an air impact wrench was the way to go, fortunately I did have a compressor, but only a small DIY one, but I thought I've got nothing to lose so I gave it a go and wow, 2 of the 3 bolts zoomed straight out, unfortunately 1 still remained, but this was due to me getting a little bit carried away before I bought this, (basically rounded the head off) so unfortunately I had to use alternative means to get that one out (grinded the head back and by luck managed to tap it round with a hammer and small chisel and out it came, but it cost me a couple of days cursing though :() I think the impact wrench worked because I could get pressure on the back of it and hold it on the bolt and with a couple of buzzes out they came. Even though the compressor I have is relatively small, the impact wrench just needs enough to give the bolt the initial shock which it does with ease. The extension bar that comes with this is great, makes access easier. Just remember you need to order the air coupling as it doesn't come with it. So if you are looking to remove a tough bolt, give this a go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job I saw the 2 bad reviews and thought no I'm not buying this then saw lower powered ones for the same money it does the job and even undid my crankshaft bolt and we all know how tight these are, obviously the ones that put a bad review dont understand how they work, they work on a hammer type action and work on a tight bolt by constantly hammering until it frees the bolt and they probably just put it on pressed the trigger for a second and decided it doesn't work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy At first was going to leave a bad review as fist go did not undo anything Then RTFM and increased the bore of my hose from 8 mm to 12 mm now there is enough puff going into it not found anything it won't handle. Undid the wheel nuts if the old car so quick though they had snapped Happy purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic tool Worked a treat on met post bolts and other fixings. Only negative was the extension bar supplied which basically just falls off as it has no ball bearing to keep it in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid There appear to be a mix reviews for this site, For some it works as described, for others it's useless. For me, this would not touch the wheel nuts on a small family car. They were not overnight as I eventually had to remove them with a normal socket & ratchet. For the doubters, my compressor is more than capable of operating this impact gun to its max. I can only assume that there must be quality issues during manufacture. You get what you pay for I suppose, I brought cheap, and looks like I will be buying twice. So, only my opinion, but this Air Impact Wrench by Erbauer will not work to the capacities stated in the item description, unless you're one of the lucky buyers who gets a good one. Screw fix however were fantastic, they refunded me my money without any issues whatsoever. Perhaps when I brought this impact wrench, and the sales person commented "see you soon" he knew I would be back the next day?
