Erbauer Diamond Core Drill Bit 127mm x 150mm is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not run true I’m putting the same revue on the Erbauer 117mm and 127mm diamond core drill bit items as they performed identically. I used them to drill through a cavity wall (concrete inner, very hard brick outer) using a brand new DeWalt diamond core drill, and an Erbauer arbour , with extension shaft for the exterior brick. The drill and arbour run perfectly true, but neither the 117mm nor 127mm core bits did! Unfortunately, due to time constraints I had to use them. They cut through both materials very well, the concrete blocks only taking a few of minutes, the brick about three times longer. The problem was the amount of vibration caused by the run out. The run out is such that it is obvious to me that Erbauer do not carry out quality control on each item; even a cursory test would show it, even at slow rotation speeds. It became tiring, and impossible to maintain precise control over the direction of the cut. Luckily, in my case that was not crucial. I’m only likely to use each bit a couple of times, so it’s no big deal to me. If I expected to have to cut similar holes regularly I’d scrap the Erbauer bits and buy a better quality brand as, besides the issues I’ve mentioned, I’m sure that it would lead to damage to the bearings in the drill. Disappointing as a correctly aligned jig when constructing the bits would solve the problem. Don't forget. I'm reviewing the ones I purchased. Others may have been luckier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen fitting Does a great job through Breeze block and brick. Obviously more hard going through brick but this unit handled the work load just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Erbauer 127mm diamond core bit Used recently on a 1st fix, cored through for a soil stack and boiler flue, effortless cutting power through block work and brick, used Makita 110v diamond core drill

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really good boring time An excellent product made short work of drilling through a cavity wall to install a new toilet drain. I had bought an a diamond core extension but it was not needed as this drill went through both skins without the extension.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product A superb piece of kit and a great value for money. It made an easy job of cutting a 127mm hole through a double brick wall. I've used a Dewalt drill with a 750W power rating and a cutting speed of around 600rpm. Once your are through the first internal brick identify the centre of the hole on the 2nd brick by using the centre guide drill. Then drill a guide hole through this brick to the outside. Complete the job from outside using this guide hole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Diamonds are forever - again! I'd previously purchased the 152mm equivalent Erbauer bit to drill through a 110 year old solid 9" red common brick wall and it turned out to be rubbish as it took almost 5 hours 'solid' effort to get through the wall using my Titan SDS at full revs - without the hammer use, which shouldn't be required with any diamond cutting implement. In consequence a very negative review was left. As I also needed to cut a 125mm hole on the same wall for a boiler flu, so I gave an Erbauer127mm x 150mm diamond core drill bit an experimental 'chance'; in the hope that my previous experience was atypical. I can write now that both Erbauer core bit experiences were the same, the latter Erbauer managed to cut the inner 4" half of the wall before I gave up on it - after more than 3 hours of solid effort. I'll have to purchase another 127mm bit to finish the job... it wont be another Erbauer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unphased Currently being used to cut through a metre thick brick wall in a victorian railway yard. Hit against something hard, which it was troubled by. After ten minutes, i had made no progress. after inspecting the obstacle, it turned out to be a bit of old railway track which had been used as a lintel. This will have to be dealt with seperately. Point is, the the core drill was no damaged in any way. Cannot fault this.
