Erbauer Diamond Tile Drill Bit 6 x 67mm is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 129.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Erbauer Diamond Tile Drill Having spent over 30 mins drilling one 6mm hole with a normal masonary drill in my new tiled bathroom. I decided to bite the bullet and pay for the Erbauer Diamond Drill. I drilled three more holes in a fraction of the time withe far more ease. Pleased I made the decision.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shortlived Managed 12 holes in porcelain before this had worn out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad These bits are fantastic when new but don't be fooled by the claims of "self-sharpening" and "self-cooling" the hole in the core WILL get blocked with tile dust and then the wax can't cool the tip nor do they stay sharp, there is maybe 30-50 holes per bit depending on the hardness of the tile you're drilling. I have gone through multiple bits on a single installation before. Always keep a pot of water handy to dip the bit in as once you overheat it it'll never be the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy one First tool review I've done. Recently had to drill six holes in some hard tiles. Took most of the day with tile drill/masonry drill. Just done two more holes in 15 minutes! Don't know how durable this will be but so far absolutely brilliant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast & Effective on Porcelain After struggling with a cheaper, water-cooled mini diamond core-drill (messy, and useless after 3 holes), and encouraged by the reviews here I decided to go for this and was delighted I did, as it made short work of the four remaining holes I needed to make in 10mm porcelain tiles. Used in conjunction with the Erbauer drill guide, which was worth the extra cost. Probably won't need this drill bit again for a good few years, but nice to know I've got it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, but not for so long. Bought this after I had had the 8mm version which was great for my bathtoom porcelain tiles. Needed the 6mm for the finishing touches. Shower basket, toilet roll holder, tower rail etc. It was great up until around the 15th hole then started to die on me. Managed to get 17 holes done and it would do no more. All the diamond bits had gone from the end. Its good, but seems to have a fairly short life span.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good whilst it lasts Being square ended it's a nightmare to use if you haven't bought the guide (I didn't realise one was available when I bought it...). I sacrificed a normal masonry bit to make a mark in porcelain tiles first, then started this bit at an angle. Worked well whilst it lasted, but the wax centre fell out, which I think caused it to over heat. Took ages to drill (grind) a hole. I have since bought the more expensive bit and am looking for a refund on this one....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The wrong size for 6mm holes!! This is OK but really should be 5.5mm to get true 6mm holes. Drilling through porcelain can take time and consequently with the best will in the world the hole becomes slightly larger than 6mm. This is in part due to the sideways abrasion that occurs. This means red wall plugs don't grab as well as they could/should. It lasts a good while though and is probably good for at least 20 holes through 10mm think porcelain.
