Erbauer Diamond Tile Drill Bit 6 x 67mm is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 123.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from The wrong size for 6mm holes!! This is OK but really should be 5.5mm to get true 6mm holes. Drilling through porcelain can take time and consequently with the best will in the world the hole becomes slightly larger than 6mm. This is in part due to the sideways abrasion that occurs. This means red wall plugs don't grab as well as they could/should. It lasts a good while though and is probably good for at least 20 holes through 10mm think porcelain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I had to purchase 6mm bit for fitting towel rails in new bathroom with porcelain tiles. Managed 3 1/2 holes and bit is done....very expensive holes. Followed manufacturers recommendations. I have an 8mm bit from another store that supply a different brand (own brand), have put up mirrors and cabinets and it has kept its "sharpness" so I know I am using the bits correctly. Maybe I just got a duff one, but I will be taking it back to complain. Holes drilled out nicely when it worked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Am I missing something? I must be missing something, This drill bit took 15mins per hole.. after the second hole the bit looked blunt. Ive had a look at videos and i dont think I'm drilling any different to others. I didn't use any water to cool the tip nor did i use too much pressure but so i can only assume the product is poor or my tiles are super strong!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not suitable for granite Must use with a guide, otherwise the bit will slide across the tile surface until it has begun to bite into the tile. It took me 40 minutes with a 3000 rpm drill to drill through 9mm granite tile with a brand new bit. The second hole took about an hour. The holes were very clean, but I'd try another brand if I had to drill through very hard tile again. I did pause every few minutes to dip the bit into water, but the bit stayed fairly cool as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamond tile drill. If you are tiling using a genuine porcelain tile, and it does to tungsten carbide what Kryptonite does to Superman, this is your answer. I suggest the use of a guide, its cost is cheaper than time and effort in changing the tile, start square to the tile with the bit, ensure a firm stance and hold of the drill, slow to begin with and light pressure to establish the start of the hole, then up to full speed as per manufacturers recommendations. Try the drill on an off-cut first, so you know what to expect when you use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit Bought this bit and it's done 8 holes easily, no other bit would touch the tiles as they are rock hard. Well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cracking bit of kit Having been drilling some exceptionally hard tiles these are the best I've found for the job, they don't last for ever but a lot longer than others I've tried. Seems counterintuitive but they work well when they're hot

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good for 4 holes only I had to drill holes through super tough ceramic tiles. This only managed 4 holes before refusing to do any more. Thankfully Screwfix replaced it with another of the same so I could do 4 more holes and finish the job. I don't know if the first one was just a dud or whether the second one is now worn out too.
