Rated 1 out of 5 by from Joiner Bought this product in store after reading some bad reveiws only to find the bad reviews are correct I've tried them in both soft and hard woods and in both you get a poor result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit of kit Very pleased with this product. Cheaper than others but nice clean, fast cut and plug fits snugly.its already cut hundreds of hardwood plugs and still seems sharp as new.not normally a fan of this brand but these are doing a great job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money I brought these as I have lost my last set. I have only used them once but was very pleased with the ease in which they cut through the plugs. The countersink bit also cut through with ease I did have to put a dab of glue on the plugs to ensure they stayed put Overall very happy and at this price and the use I will give them ( occasional) they will last until I loose them again Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value cutters I didn't find a problem with different sized countersinks and plugs, and at this price I don't expect them to perform well indefinitely but fine for occasional use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed results? I'd only been using the larger set, until today, and getting very good results. The plugs were smooth and tight. However, this morning I used the smaller set and the plug cutter was chattering, even in the pillar drill, and the plugs were rough and undersize. Inspecting the small cutter I found a burr on the inside from where the cutting edge had been ground. I removed this with a needle file (could have used a rolled tube of emery paper) and tried again. This time the small plugs were also smooth and tight. This may well explain the very mixed results reported by some users. Another quick tip: If you want to sink an existing screw then remove the pilot drill from the countersink and reverse it, so the tail of the drill acts as a guide and doesn't chew the screw hole. If it's a bit loose then wind tape around until it's a snug fit in the hole. Great for hiding screws on garden furniture etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok for price Good price. Cutters and countersink are accurate size for each other. Some reviews say differently. I suspect drill was not held securely enough when using. Have used them in solid oak counter tops. Use at slow speed and you should find they work well. The drill bit snapped after about 10 holes, but I simply put a better quality wood bit in and it works well. Perhaps consider a better drill bit for the countersink from the start. Useful to have and the end result is very pleasing. Would buy again for the plug cutters alone.
