Evolution RAGE1B1852 1200W 185mm Multipurpose Circular Saw 230V is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 328.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective multiurpose DiY Saw Bought to cut up pallets and left over kitchen worktop to fit out a shed with tool hanging boards and a gardener's bench. The saw did everything I asked of it, knowing the blade won't be damaged by the occasional nail or screw is a bonus and the build quality is easily up to keen DiY standards. In particular the base plate is strong and straight, so easy to run along a straight edge to get consistent cutting. A few pointers on what will connect into the sawdust ejector on the blade guard would be good - but that is a very minor criticism.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed Short lead, the fence is useless, you can not use a roofers square as a guide if your right handed unless you hold the saw in your left hand but it's difficult to press the trigger left handed, I've never had a saw blade kick back as much as this one,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant!!! Whilst fitting my new kitchen my old JCB circular saw packed in. What to do? Ok grab the Screw Fix Catalogue. Ok so im a DIY'er, and by no means a Pro So I dont need to spend hundreds of Pounds on a new one. First thoughts were for a Titan one as they do provide reasonable quality for the money but for a few quid more I can "upgrade" to the Evolution. Well first impressions are just how light it is compared to the last. Straight out the box I Checked the sole plate adjustment for square and tightness. I added the Fence guide, set it to 60mm and ripped the facing to size. Knife through butter, job done. I read reviews before buying this and even though the negatives ones were interesting, I still bought it. In fact the only negative I have is that it doesn't come in a blown plastic case. But to be fair that's not really a negative against the machine. Recommend? Without a doubt!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from was a bit skeptical I own the evolution DB miter saw and thought I would go for the evolution circular saw because think this brand is good and really well priced was reading some of the bad reviews and was sort of put off by them, glad I went with my gut and got it great bit of kit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a knife through..... Had to get that cliché in the title, as it seems to be very important you use that in saw reviews on here! First impressions are very good build quality, base seems very sturdy as does the bevel adjustment screw. Ready to go out of the box and very simple to use. First test was cutting some thick plywood. This was a load of 2inch strips with the faces glued together to make a side grain table top. I was worried this would cause some chip out and mess up everything. After making that cut I was amazed at the cleanness of it, no chip out at all. Very impressive. I also cut a lot of pallet wood, so the other big selling point for me was it's ability to go through nails without even noticing them. Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 in 1 year broke for no reaso Both were working fine and both just stopped working, only doing about a days worth of work a week and not hard work just ripping 9mm ply and cutting floor boards mainly, a good concept and works well when it works, but for reliability, buy a better brand, no faults with screwfix, they will refund but thas not the point!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not accurate The adjustable fence which came with this saw is so flimsy you could bend between your fingers. I cut a door using it and almost ruined it. It won't keep square. I've also used a straight edge and ran the sole plate along that but the blade fights against it and the blade digs in which tells me the sole plate isn't square to the blade. Good robust quality but if it can't cut straight it's useless
