Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evolution rage 3 255mm I bought the rage evolution 3 a few weeks ago. The delivery did take quite long since GLS had sent it to Romania (should have been Belgium). Screw fix did everything they could and resolved the problem quickly! Great service! The saw is well packaged and is very simple to assemble. The video's on their site, make assembly a breeze. The saw needed a few adjustments to cut true 90 degree angles (and al other angles off course) How to adjust the saw is explained in video's on evolutions website. I've cut wood, copper round stock, metal round stock and pvc pipes. All perfect cuts. I was amazed, even though I had seen a lot of video's of this machine cutting everything... The product performs like advertised. The only thing I don't know is, is how long the blade will stay sharp if you cut a lot of metal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw I've had one of these for a while now. It has a good strong motor. I put a wood blade in it. Haven't used the multipurpose one. It leaves a nice clean cut . Laser guide. Does the job. I would also recommend using it with the stand. Really good value for money. The larger blade on this makes it more useful for larger timber as well as smaller joinery items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of kit Building a carport and this great saw has made my life so easy. Cuts 4x6 like nothing. The unit seems like a quality tool with accurate mechanisms. My only slight concern is the average finish of the edges of the cuts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why this gets bad reviews I bought this today despite seeing good and bad reviews out of the box this item has very poor instructions which could do with being in a larger font. Once assembled this mitre saw is all over the place the laser is out so need adjusting but has very little movement in one direction but ok in the other it is also a poor quality laser as the beam seems to widen in a very quickly. The notched pre-set angles slot in positively and cut is smooth the only problem is that every angle had to be adjusted before I could get this to cut true. The blade at 90 had to be set and at 45 also the fence had to be adjusted this was fiddly. The base seems a bit light, it does need to be set up so don't expect it to be ready to go out of the box you will need a set square to set up as it seems to be just thrown in the from manufacture. So this a a very good value product and can't be Bergen on price but I see why it gets bad reviews possibly some people don't realise you need to set it up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Should've picked one up sooner Really pleased with my Evolution mitre saw - Makita man at heart, but couldn't justify the additional expense this time around. Limited use to date but the all purpose blade hasn't let me down yet. Ideal piece of kit for any DIY hobbyist's man cave! One word of caution; anyone who believes the instructions when they say the saw head can simply be 'pushed' onto the bevel rail better make sure they have had their weetabix that morning! The air turned blue for at least 10 minutes while I struggled...
