Evolution RAGE3FP2552 255mm Single-Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 230V is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 255.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit of kit I have hade this bit of kit for over a year now and it's done loads of work although only used on timber , the blade is still good as I do lots of stud work it's also still cutting the miters neat on architrave etc I got this one as my Dewalt finally packed up after years of hard work, As I am nearing retirement age I decided to risk buying a cheaper version of Dewalt but this Evelution is every bit as good and as Iv decided to keep going for a few more years it should see me out, Don't hesitate to buy it a little Gem

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good. Easy to assemble I bought it two weeks for doing a few small jobs that I needed a sliding saw for. Only cut new wood and bit of perspex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mitre saw It is a great product but unhappy that i then need to purchase a dust bag separately. It reminds me of the days when you use to get home with a new printer only to find that a lead was not sold with the item.....arrg. And to boot, Screwfix have dust bags on their website, but none in any stores and none for delivery......poor!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good, but.......... Overall I'm pleased with this purchase, however there are a few 'issues'. Firstly, on initial assembly I found that the knurled screw for the cable clamp was a completely different thread size to the hole it was meant to screw into ! A minor niggle I know, but not what I expected and it meant I had to find an alternative screw and open out the hole in the plastic clamp to accommodate this larger screw. Also, the laser guide is not very accurate. Apart from these minor grumbles I'd say it's a reasonable saw for the money - it is after all a 'budget' compound mitre saw and if you want Festool or DeWalt quality you'll have to shell out quite a bit more money !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good functional saw Saw was straightforward to put together, instructions clear. Needed minor adjustments for alignment. Once setup seems to work well certainly powerful enough, bevel function good but need to keep the fence well back. When mounted on Saw table you cannot cut 45 deg mitres as saw mounting brackets inhibit movement. Not difficult to resolve (modify brackets) but a time cost when you find out in the middle of a job.! Cannot state reliabilty as I've not had it long enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mitre saw I am very pleased with this saw which is solidly built and cuts cleanly and accurately. You should put aside several hours to unpack and assemble this tool. Read the manual carefully! Out of the box it will not be set up correctly - no mitre saw will be. To get the best out of it you need to follow the instructions and calibrate each of the axes using a set square. Also the laser line is fully adjustable but needs to be set up as well, depending on which side is the work piece and which the offcut. Having been set up to the instructions my saw is now cutting perfectly square and the preset mitres are spot on. There is no dustbag included but I have mine connected up to a vacuum cleaner. This removes the fine particles quite well but a lot of sawdust falls onto the table and onto the floor and needs cleaning up afterwards. The blade supplied is a general purpose one and doesn't cut as cleanly as a fine toothed one would which was designed for the purpose. It is quite satisfactory for my needs but for really fine work might not be suitable. I am using the saw on the matching Evolution stand which makes for a very safe and usable combination. One point not mentioned in either the saw or stand manuals is that a small, orange, plastic block held on with one screw, on the bottom of the mitre angle latching arm, has to be removed in order to get the full 45 degree mitre adjustment, otherwise it fouls the stand a few degrees short. The block appears to have no purpose at all. To sum up I have no hesitation in recommending this saw.
