Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatility tool An easily overlooked tool. it is a versatile powerful tool, which is useful for numerous tasks. Competitively priced. And made in the uk, which is so nice to be able to say these days. It has an adjustable shoe which aids angled cuts..Supplied with four different blades for metal wood etc. It works effortlessly which ever task it is used for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Cheap as chips Purchased this item when on special offer as my old dog died a death. Looked and felt the part but started smoking and got very hot after just 5 minutes of use cutting flooring. Then I could not remove the blade for love nor money. Ridiculous. Cable seemed cheap and thin and the blades lasted all of of 5 minutes cutting woodchip flooring! Immediately returned for a full refund and purchased the Erbauer version and the difference is noticeable straight away. Maybe ok for amateur or DIY use but no good for professional or everyday use. Don't waste your cash. Pay a bit more and get alot more! Can't see how the other reviews 5 star this item?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Evolution Rage8 Reciprocating This saw was bought for dismantling an old panel fence so i could get it in the car. When erecting the new fence it was going to be used for sawing the post tops flush before it broke. The problem is the blade retainer, after doing some research it is a common problem.I have lost the receipt and payed cash , Screwfix have it on their records but have passed the buck of onus onto evolution. This is a warning to any buyers thinking of buying this product and trying to get it replaced or refunded.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. Just returned my second one today and took the plunge, spent a little more and upgraded to a Dewalt recip. Both Evolutions didn't last long and both had problems with the blade locking mechanism which work loose and fail to hold a blade. Good package but not up to trade standards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Evolution reciprocating saw I've used it only for a couple times, but feels really sturdy and powerful. Everything i've cut ( timber, metal...), it had no problem. Had it just for 2 weeks, so I cant say more about it, but i would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super piece of kit! I bought this saw specifically to remove stud partition walls prior to fitted wardrobes being installed. The saw was delivered the day after placing the order and today I used it for the first time. So glad I bought the saw. It took less time than I thought to remove the first wall. Very impressed with the feel of the saw and the very easy method for changing the blades. The four blades provided made it easy to do the job. General purpose blade coped easily with cutting the metal plaster trim. Used the 'green timber' blade for cutting the plasterboard wall as coarse teeth made short work of the wall. Really glad I bought it - especially at the offer price! Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Evolution Saw Got to say, a decent piece of kit although heavier than I expected. One slight niggle is the adjusting bar on the front. This bar is held firm by two grub screws that are tightened by an allen key(supplied). The grub screws were supplied and had already stripped their housing on supply. Apart from this, decent enough.
