Extension Support Rod is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flimsy Not too bad for very light work, but within the last hour I've broken both of the ones I bought. One fell over and the extension no longer sits in place, the other's trigger has snapped. Will buy more robust set in future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected essential tool I use these for something completely different from what they are meant to be used for. I have tiled a few walls now with large format (1m+) tiles and I find that if the wall is ever so slightly rounded or bent, the tiles can lip up at one end. We are only talking about 1mm if that, but with rectified tiles, that might was we'll be 1cm of lippage. So I'm using these props horizontally across the room to push the ends of the tiles down flush and level with thier neighbours until the adhesive sets. They work a treat, and mean that you are basically bending porcelain around the curves on a wall. Like I said, we are only talking about 1mm or less, but it's the difference between an OK job, and a great one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Used these to put up a ceiling in an attic conversion and the stairwell. Found them easy to use, light enough to manoeuver one handed which makes life easier when supporting a big sheet of plasterboard. Even with two people these save time and a lot of effort. Well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just the job Sturdy construction, I like the 2 part extendible pole and the final adjustment ratchet system, makes for quick securing of plasterboards prior to fixing to joists. Well thought out design with a hook for festoon or inspection lamp and a pair can be used to hang a dust curtain etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saves a sore head Bought these to put up a bathroom ceiling after much swearing trying to do it without them. Very simple to use, decent enough quality for the price and saved me a sore head balancing plasterboadr sheets on my head.
