Flomasta 27901SX 3-Port Motorised Valve is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 212288.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me Fitted this as a replacement for a Landis & Gyr unit. Works exactly as it should, with no sign of the problems mentioned in other reviews. "Bangs when it shuts AND DOES NOT MID POSITION". I would suggest the reviewer may have wired it incorrectly, or there is a problem elsewhere in the electrical circuits from the programmer, or thermostats. In fact, my original problem which prompted a replacement, was that the old valve was stuck with the hot water permanently on. (I think it was a problem with the internal circuit board not sending the signal to move the motor). meaning very hot water, all the time I disconnected the old wiring from the original, (after turning off the electricity to the heating), and wired in the new one, with it sitting on the shelf, and the old unit still "Plumbed in" I then operated the heating, and thermostats, to check the diverter paddle within the unit, opened and closed the appropriate valves, when operating the heating, which they did. I then plumbed the unit in. The only problem I had, was that using the old pipe work caused a leak, due to the fact the olives were too far along the pipe and did not seal correctly against the aperture. I can only assume that the internal pipework on the unit must have shorter chambers, therefore not allowing the pipes to go in far enough to meet the olives. This may not be a problem for you. Just make sure the pipes push in far enough so the olives meet with the body of the aperture before fitting the nuts. Once the unit was in place, it all worked flawlessly. JOB DONE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money product!!! Called to a job to replace a broken 3 port valve, a Drayton, the valve had seized. Was a little short of money so bought this Flomasta! Worked perfectly, fitted the same nuts from existing pump, no plumbing alterations and obviously was a 5 wire unit, so worked well for my requirements! I would use again and use instead of a Honeywell in the future! Thoroughly recommend especially taking into account the price! I have not had any problems highlighted by other reviewers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Wish I had read the above review. the valve is useless. Bangs when it shuts AND DOES NOT MID POSITION. I now have to replace the valve with a drayton or honywell at my expense as my customer is complaining. Thanks Flomasta !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it works well for me! I also purchased this valve as a replacement for the 5 year old Honeywell three way diverter valve currently fitted to my 30 year old gravity-fed hot water and gas c/h system when teeth disappeared from the plastic quadrant rendering the expensive Honeywell useless. This Flomasta was an easy fit with the same five wiring colours, and it has metal gears so should hopefully be more robust than the Honeywell, but the thing I like best is the ability to unclip and remove the whole actuator unit, which should hopefully make diagnosis, repairs or replacements easier in future. 24 hours later, it's working as it should with no chatter or judder experienced, and my Wife hasn't 'mentioned' the temperature at all, so I'm allowed to be happy! A good purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it says on the tin I purchased this item "Flowmaster 27901SX 3-Port Motorised valve" from its description to replace a worn our Honeywell 3-port valve after 32 years good service. Half the price of the Honeywell. Fitting was a direct replacement to the old one and took only and hour to do. Re-commissioned the system and realised it was a mistake. The Valve head juddered on opening to 2 ports and created water hammer on closing the C/H port. There is very little built in time delay on opening and closing to any of the 3 positions. Cause "This is a rotary designed valve. Replaced immediately with a Honeywell V4073A 3 port valve with built in time delays and the correct internal design valve. It cost more than twice the price but operates as it should. Do not be caught with the Flowmaster inferior product !!
