Forge Steel Flat Drill Press Vice 4" is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pillar drill vice Good quality for the money! Does what it is supposed to do! No complaints! Typical Screwfix item and well priced! Works well, although a little on the large size with my bench piller drill also purchased from Screwfix! Useful vice all the same! Well pleased with it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for. I bought this vice just to hold small items steady whilst drilling holes in them, which it does. I am not going to use it continually day to day so cost was a factor. If, like me, this is what you want then it works, you may need to smooth off the odd corner and maybe do up screws but heck for this price that's OK by me. I found fixing it on my pedestal drill was fiddly but doable. As for value for money, if you are going to use a drill vice a lot go for a more expensive one, but if you are looking for a vice to hold the odd item then this is your vice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Bad Finish on product Sturdy construction doe's it's job. BUT before I could use it I had to put one of the face plate screws in as it was loose in the box. And before I could do any work I had to file all of the rough edges off. I had cut myself just unpacking it. Very poor finish and not up to standard

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality I have never had an issue with anything I have purchased from Screwfix until today. The vice will be returned tomorrow. The quality is awful, the castings are incomplete, the flat plate underneath that stops the moving jaw lifting cannot be used, the jaw castings are incomplete and the grub screw that goes into the lead screw does not locate correctly. This is without doubt the worst tool I have ever purchased. There are good reviews on here for the same product so I guess I just got a bad one which doesn't give me much confidence about the quality control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sort of ok for the price. There is a lot of play in the lead screw and jaw, the finish is poor with rough edges, however, purchased for use on my welding table and did not want to pay a lot for a good one due to welding splashes etc. so for this purpose, it will be fine. If I had purchased for my drill press or milling machine, I would have been disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works Not bad for the price. A little sharp around the edges and the sliding jaw could do with being a little bit smoother to close. Not bad though..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drill Press Vice A good basic product at reasonable price. Excellent value

Rated 4 out of 5 by from useful drill press vice Ideal; as I only occasionally need one I couldn't justify a normally-priced one. This is fine, I haven't noticed excessive slop or poor finish as some reviewers, so maybe their quality is variable. Mounting slots don't line up well for my old Draper bench drill, but haven't found managing that difficult.
