Forge Steel Profile Gauge 10" is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful tool! Bought this so I could cut in kitchen cupboards around a skirting board profile. Easy to use, feels pretty sturdy and made the job look a lot more professional than a big wedge of caulking!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Limited uses !! Bought this to profile an awkward shape where skirting meets a curved shower tray. Gauge does not sit flush on the floor so was of no use for the job intended. Individual plastic combs quite wide and therefore not for fine work. Could probably do better with a piece of cardboard and scissors. Limited use for this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Profile Guage I have wanted to buy one for ages, looked around, but this is the best I found especially as you can tighten it should the sliders get loose. Good solid feel to it and being 10" long useful for door frames etc. Bought it, used it, and found it a very useful tool. I will not use it constantly but it is in the toolbox ready for next time! I gave it 4* for two reasons 1) I have nothing to compare it with. 2) Its a profile gauge cannot get to excited about it! As a Diy'r I found it really useful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really useful Really useful when I was trying to cut and fit skirting board and architrave

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited by being slim! As 'Fred31' said below, beware of the fact that this is limited in the depth of profile it can trace - eg. It can't give you much of a shape for the sides of bathroom pedestals. Otherwise, well made and easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chocolate fire guard. This product is about as usefull as the proverbial chocolate fire guard. Expensive and utter rubbish. The pins are too wide and the biggest issue is they cannot be locked into place once the profile is set. Making it impossible to trace the profile template onto the surface you want to cut to. They just move when you try and trace a pencil line around them making the guage totally useless. Took it back and eventually got a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Closer cut with profile tool I decided to upgrade when doing a tiling job and this really does make a difference much tighter cuts on odd shapes around door jams and odd shaped skirtings. Makes the tiling job look much more professional. The tool itself is sturdy and accurate and holds its shape well. The friction is adjusted with screws to allow for wear!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Profile gauge - Don't think so Forge Steel have never been my favourite brand, but this was the only profile gauge available from Screwfix. Spend £100s if not £1000's a year at Screwfix and was disappointed that this tool was flimsy and imprecise. The 'blades' are loosely held and moved as soon as the device was removed from the profile. Tried several times, same result each time. Product packed for 'Returns'.
