Forge Steel Vernier Caliper is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal For the price you can't go wrong. It's fine for measuring as long as you don't expect fine accuracy or working to close tolerances. I Closed the jaws up and held it up to the light and as expected light can be seen through the jaws. it's easily got to be 3 or 4 thou out. Having said that, it works just perfectly for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product Worth its price. Not the best brand, but for me it works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should This product works exactly as it should, feels very well made and of a high quality, also comes in a hard case to offer the protection it requires. All the quality of a branded product at a fraction of the cost

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it To be honest it's the same what you can get in online stores but you pay 3 times more because of the Forge Steel logo engraved into it. Cheaply made, my father has a proper one which is more than 30years old and the build quality is far more superior than this. Never again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not accurate I have checked these and they are 3.5 mm out IE a reading on the gauge of 38mm but the actual mesurement was 41.5 mm. All these great reviews but they are pointless if they are inaccurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I bought this as my previous version had received some damage. Although this item is cheaper than my last one it feels more solid and very well made, The Case it comes in is also excellent and offers the protection this type of tool requires.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Zero error Not an expert but mine came with negative zero error (one line to the left of 0 on the lower scale). maybe will go back to see if was a bad batch or something, not giving a bad review because of the price and I don't really need to be that accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent vernier This has proved to be both accurate and reliable and as another reviewer said, does not need batteries! As long as you know how to read a "manual" vernier, you could not buy better than this without spending an awful lot more money. The only slight criticism I have is that the imperial scale would have been more useful in 1/16s instead of decimals. I bought this to replace an unreliable and inaccurate digital vernier which cost over twice as much as this one. Profit from my mistake and don't go digital, at least not for accurate measuring with a vernier!
