Harris Heavy Duty Tungsten Carbide Wood Scraper 9¾" is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 99.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good tool Very effective for removing paint or varnish. The blade, apparently, is good for 1,000 applications. I'll keep you posted - if I'm still around!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective tool Really effective tool for excellent quality paint removal. Makes light work of the task. Wish I'd had one sooner. The blade is exceptionally sharp and takes a long time to blunt. Useful to be able to purchase blades separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic scraper What a brilliant tool this is , I am a professional joiner and wanted to remove paint before fitting a door so I decided on buying one off these , I was amazed how Fast it took of the paint also they was 3 layers , it took it off with ease also you can put a lot of pressure on it when pulling , it didn't even mark the blade, I would definitely recommend this product .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job but... Much quicker that a conventional scraper for stripping varnish from door frames but blade can dig-in on curved surfaces. Blades last well but replacement ones are sold singly and are very expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardcore scraper Challenge - remove 18 year-old thick paint from oak floor. Options - Products such as Strip Away, Peel away, Industrial sander or a manual option such as scraping. Solution - Industrial sander ineffective as paint was too thick and hard, Strip/Peel away products ineffective at low temperatures and takes a few days to dry and also messy. This Harris scraper is superb and very robust and strips the paint away incredibly well. Hold with both hands, apply pressure and pull tool towards you in 2ft strokes. For residual paint remaining remove by pushing the tool away from you. Hard graft but if you have time, this a superb tool and blade lasts well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scraper I never leave reviews on anything but after starting to strip old gloss from some used doors, I came across this read the reviews and thought ummm maybe I'll try it and I must say I'll never be going back to a heat gun and paint scraper. What took me two hours has just taken me 15mins with very little effort no more struggling. Thanks to all those who left reviews I can't recommend this highly enough :))

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not scraping the barrel I bought this to help me get into the corners when sanding down my old pine floorboards. I has done a good job of reaching the areas that my edging sander couldn't. Blade has so far stayed sharp. Would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff Tungsten carbide is hard, very hard. This blade is superb and never seems to go blunt. However, tungsten carbide does break when dropped and struck, so be careful when handling the scraper. The handle is nice and round, largish and fits nicely in my hand. Note that the given length is the length of the tool, not the width of the blade. I used this to scrape old polyurethane varnish from my oak kitchen top and it worked a treat. Be careful to hold the blade flat on the surface, the sharp edge will gouge a groove with no effort if you don't balance the pressure or hit a piece of softer wood.
