Hippo Premium Carpet Protection Roll 50m x 600mm is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid After using a cheaper brand last time I thought I'd step up the protection and use hippo as the customer I had was a little ocd. I layer the hippo protector and it didn't adhere to the carpet in the slightest, in fact it was more of a hinder and trip hazard rather then help. Hard to cut (new Stanley blade) I would serious save your money and go with screw fix branded, I no I will.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Carpet covering After using another carpet protector prior to this one, it was not in the same class as that product, the adhesion was very poor and it as shrunk back from around the edges leaving exposed carpet, not good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Premium? Not quite what i was expecting from a 'premium' product. several areas have already come back off the carpet, perhaps should have bought the screwfix brand one? On the plus side, appears to be good quality film.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete waste of money I have used a similar product in the past and it was great. I decided to try Hippo even although it was much more expensive than others sold by screw fix. It simply didn't work. It didn't take to the carpet at all. I'm sure a roll of cling film would have done every bit as good. Don't waste your money on this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Probably ruined carpet Protected ok when down, and came up easily BUT left the carpet sticky. Even vax cleaning didn't cure it. In the next 2 weeks carpet attracted loads of dirt (due to being sticky). Now will cost to have professionally cleaned assuming they can restore it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product / expensive Good all rounder but a little expensive! Or there should be 75 metres in it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid I removed the hippo carpet protector from carpet last night after it had been down for four days. despite using a carpet cleaner it has left the carpet sticky in places due to the overly strong adhesive which also makes it very difficult to put in place to start with. Having said all that it does protect the carpet very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please be carefull or avoid I use similar products for over 7 years and Hippo is the worst I ever used. Adhesive is too strong making it hard to unroll and it sticks to the carpet so hard that it takes hours to remove. The worst thing is that it leaves strong adhesive residue which attracts more dirt and the only way to remove it is to wash it with white spirit and detergent. Please avoid at any cost as it may be cheaper to fit new carpet.
