Hitachi C7U2 185mm Circular Saw 230V is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great saw but no brake I got this saw for home use as I can't be bothered with lugging a transformer home to power the 110 stuff I usually use, also it's much lighter than the usual 9 inch saws and good for most stuff. A great little saw but I would prefer the C7BU2 which I now know about and comes with the electronic brake, I have in the past put saws down when the guard has been jammed open and if the blade was still revolving and I didn't check,, not good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good saw I have been buying hitachi tools for 2 years as others have worn out. They are very good and even the circular saw comes in a carry case which saves it from damage in the back of the van and stops the leads getting tangled together. Light to use and easy to adjust and operate

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good this is the second hitachi tool i bought, i decided to stick with them for another tool. it has the same look, feel and smell as other hitachis, and the same features as other big name brands for about the same price. the biggest difference i thought was the base plafe is a big cast and machine affair it is solid not the usual bent plate stuff dewalt and makita do, the angle adjust lock has two clamps which makes if feel more secure. the blade is very course i changed it for a 60 tooth trend one. i am a lefty and the angle of the blade exhaust (out the side not the back) means that i get covered but i will probably rig a extractor to it soon enough and angle cuta are crisp (with new blade) and the depth adjust is solid but a depth gauge would be v handy.
