Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality medium weight drill Nice piece of kit. Heavy enough to manage the tough jobs but light enough to do other stuff as well. Simple and easy to use. Delivered to my house in France with the normal good service from Screwfix

Rated 5 out of 5 by from superb entry level sds A high quality tool. The only possible complaint is the slightly short power cable, but that is easily fixed. I haven't given it much stick over the 6 months I've had it, hence can't comment on reliability, however it makes light work of plaster, brick, etc. The hammer action is fairly powerful for such a lightweight sds, but for heavy work you'll need something bigger. The case is solid too, I haven't dropped it down the stairs yet, but it is durable plastic. For the price, really seems extremely good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good drill. Bought this drill for a specific fencing job, where I had to drill over 50 holes in to a concrete slab to fix met posts down, the drill performed very well and felt I could have drilled much deeper if I had too very easily,. Good points I found out about the drill were the selector for drill / drill hammer/ hammer, has an extra button to stop accidental switching, (has happened a lot with other cheaper drills I've had) Variable trigger and easily selectable reverse, and felt like it was a robust drill with more than enough power for the job and more. Only bad point I could find was the depth gage was plastic instead of metal but overal considering the feel and quality of the drill it didn't bother me. Also came in a tough case.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short lead, un-practical Having used a friends 830w version i found it fantastic to use, thorough nice feel and takes a big beating needing a new one i decided to buy the 750w version as i wouldn't benefit from more power for the extra cost i cant tell the difference between 750/830w versions even drilling with a 105mm core bit other than the fact the lead is stupidly short, to drill anything at high level i literally have to hold the extension lead in 1 hand and drill with the other Realistically you have to chop the lead and re-do it, then the drill will be fantastic. obviously doing this voids your warranty. Buy another brand with a decent size lead

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent drill Bought this to install back boxes and chase the walls for a new socket curcuit. Never used an SDS drill before. Its light and easy to use, accurate and not particularly noisy or dusty Bit change is instant. Made short work of brick walls. I've never done this job before and by the third socket I felt like a pro. Easily gets behind the skirting board using a 1000mm drill bit and a chasing bit. Can't coment on reliabilty but this drill felt so unstressd by the work that I doubt it will be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from packs a punch i am very impressed with the cango operation of this drill i bought it to do a specific bit of work but i believed i would end up renting a larger drill for the day.... i was wrong and utterly amazed by what this drill is capable of doing

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SDS Drill from Hitachi Generally its a good drill with plenty of power to drill through concrete and bricks, the down sides are, cable is very short compared to the bosch sds i had for many years, which served me very well, it only gave up due to the abuse i put it through, Also the carry case is smaller, i was able to keep long bits and some bulky bits inside it too, now with this new Hitachi tht ive bought i have to keep few bits in the van. the auxiliary side handle, it is terrible feels like a toy bought frm the pound shop, if Hitachi took care of the little complaints i had thn it would be jus as good as bosch
