Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy now for disfigured feet I have previously worn DeWalt Recip Waterproof Safety Boots with fair satisfaction, despite the poor quality laces that need replacing after approx 1 month. I have owned 2 pairs in the past and both pairs disintegrated: soles tore away from main boot. This time I decided to invest in these Hyena Etna Chukka boots, because I had read a positive review, however I am unable to find and refer to it now. These boots took 2 months to break in, by which time my ankles were severely injured: ankle skin removed, & pain so unbearable I had to switch to alternate safety boots. I returned to these boots when skin healed. I was unaware whether or not I could report these boots after having broke them in (eg creased etc, not resalable). I wore these boots loosely tied at ankles to avoid repeat of injury. Next my large toes started to chaff during work. These boots are effectively waterproof but this means your feet overheat. Also they are heavy and grip is sound. However these pros are irrelevant when your toes start to wear with friction burns. I have worn these boots in a variety of environments and I have alternated my lace fastening (slackening and tightening) to find a comfortable fit, however the boots have definitely not been designed for comfort. Finally the interior heel fabric wore quickly and subsequently my socks rub against the plastic skeleton causing a very audible squeak every time I step. This adds an additional humiliation to wearing these boots. Honestly, these are the worst shoes I've had the misfortune to invest in. Save yourself the money, time, and pain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Dirt Stay as far away from these boots as possible, bay far the worst boots I have ever had. I bought them because I was stuck because my dewalts had come to the end of their days. They skinned my ankles, left me limping and barley able to stand on my feet(I have no idea why they cause so much pain but they do) and not only that but they leak. walked through some water today for the first time and by the time I got out my right foot was soaking. I can see bubbles coming from between the sole and the toe. Absolute rubbish, these boots should be illegal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little bit tight Bought these in a size 10, struggled to get them on at first (shrek feet). I thought I was going to have to give them to my son, because they were tight and killing my feet. Maybe need to go up a size ????????? Now I have started to break them, they are becoming quite comfortable. Still difficult to put on though. The best feature is they do keep your feet dry. Would probably buy them again, not sure yet, see how well they last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ankle agony bought these because they are wide fit and waterproof, tried them on in shop, nice fit around footbed wriggle room for toes etc. wore them around the house for a couple of hours for a few days to try and break them in .Anyway first day at work my ankle bones had the skin worn of them and i was in a lot of pain with them. I have tried for over a month now and they are still taking the skin of my ankle bones. I think the thermoplastic does not come up high enough at the side and where it joins the fabric part is is rubbing against ankle bone. I have given up and gone back to an old arco pair of boots.I have been wearing and breaking in boots for about 40 years now and these are the worst
