Hyena Nevis Waterproof Rigger Safety Boots Brown Size 10 is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 97.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst boots around Bought these a couple of days ago. Thinking surely the comfort will get better as they are new. But no... probably the worst boots I have ever worn. Feels like someone is smashing your ankles in with a 10lb mash! Stitching is too hard and the leather digs in on your ankles. The words torture come to mind. Good luck buying these

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable for first 6 month At first these boots were a bit small for me. I'm a size 10 but the size 11 were too big. I got used to them and for 6 months they were very comfortable. They have been quite water proof and a pleasure to wear. Sadly, after 6 months, the upper on one of the boots has torn away from the sole. I'm an avid DIY-er and wear these boots most evenings and weekends. The disappointment is mainly that the rest of the boot is in good condition and has only failed because of poor stitching. I won't buy these again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Medieval torturers would be proud. At first glance these boots look and feel like the real deal. At £39.99 they're also attractively and competitively priced. When you try one on it feels reassuringly firm and ridgid, it's a new boot, that's how a new boot is supposed to feel. Except they never soften up, they actually seem to get harder with age, to the point where I feel like I'm wearing ski boots. I would throw these boots in the bin, except I'm currently on a 6 week trip offshore, so my battered and blistered feet are going to have to endure another 28 days of 12 hour shifts (336 hours, yes I have worked this out so I can literally tick off the hours I have to wear these things till I can bin/kill them with fire) I have never worn such painful boots in all my life (even climbing mountains in new 'pussers' boots as a Royal Marine) the bridge of my left foot is a-braised to the point wear I have to tape it up, the first knuckle on the little toe of my right foot has a perma-blister and the sides of both feet constantly ache. Avoid like the plague, spend the extra £35 and get a pair of Dewalt pro boots instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nevis boot Now on my second pair after a protracted debate with screwfix as to the fact they should not leak within a 12 month period finally replaced second pair now leaking as before do not buy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Left Feet Sore & Throbbing There's no doubt these boots are well made and they certainly look the part and at first glance they look fantastic especially for the price. Unfortunately there's a massive flaw, these boots are the most uncomfortable I've ever worn in 15 years. I believe the problem lies in the rubberised waterproof exterior coating which comes up to the ankle. These make the boots incredibly stiff and even after weeks of wearing they never soften up and left my feet sore and literally throbbing. Another problem this causes is it makes the boots insanely difficult to take off. I was in so much pain after wearing them on an all night job that when finished I launched them into a skip, good riddance. Perhaps my feet are wider than others but I've never had this issue with any other rigger boots in the last 15 years of wearing them. Can't believe these have earned such high reviews. Would steer well clear of these but if you are considering would highly recommend trying them on before and if they feel stiff and uncomfortable don't expect them to soften up, they will be stiff and uncomfortable for the duration and likely leave your feet in a lot of pain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hyena nevis tat 2 pairs in two months these boots are absolutely appalling , about as waterproof as the cardboard box they come in .needless to say you'd be better off buying a pair of cheapies off the market ,,,seriously not happy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible The first pair leaked straight away so I took them back . I was given an exchange with no quibbling. The second pair took a whole week to start leaking . They are, without a doubt , the most uncomfortable things I have ever had on my feet. Utterly useless in cold weather even with 2 pairs of socks. I suspect that they would be hot in the summer but i will not know this for sure as they will be in the bin by then. 2 months in , the liner has gone which makes it a real pain to get them off ! Should have taken them back again but a lack of time meant I couldnt. Buy something with a name or the el cheapo ones( because then you wont be expecting much !)
