Hyena Nevis Waterproof Rigger Safety Boots Brown / Black Size 9 is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Painful if you have ankles Bought these a week ago. Felt ok in shop. Started to get painful after short time. Thought they would bed in but they havent. Going back to wellies. Been trying to wear them in so cant imagine they will accept their return. Might be ok if you dont have any ankle bone but the poly base just doesnt give and joins the leather right at the ankle joint. Oouch!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Boot These works boots are everything they say they are, they look hardwearing and as a work boot have all the safety aspects plus being comfortable. They were on offer which was a bonus to buying them. Very pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good value at first sight BUT. I bought these boots after reading the advertising "blog", and as I work in the elements, waterproof footwear is needed. The first day of wearing was fine for about 2 hours, then the right boot began to pinch along the side of my big toe and rub the outside edge of my foot. There is just no give in the sole flexibility. The left boot was no problem at all. Thinking they would "wear in" I wore them for a further 2 days but the pinching got worse. There is just no give in the materials used.It seems like they were of two different sizes. I returned the boots to exchange for another make of boot, and the guy at the counter was not surprised, and said that a few people had showed their concerns. Maybe why they are currently £20 cheaper ? ?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good value Bought primarily to use with a brushcutter, something with more leg protection than an ankle boot and more robust than a safety wellie. These turned out to be fine for that purpose and more general garden digging. The lower part of the upper is pu rather than rubber so very tough; its stiffness may also contribute the the perception that these are a tight fit. I found that size 9 with a thick sock a good fit even though I normally choose a size 8 shoe as I have a narrow foot. So the description of these as 'wide fit' seems wrong, more like a typically narrow fit Italian hiking boot. (eg Asolo)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid I've worn my boots for about 10 days (over the course of several months) and now they are in the bin. The lining came loose so it was nearly impossible to remove them. As others have pointed out, they are not waterproof. They were more comfortable that safety wellies (and do breathe) but they just didn't last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought these mainly as an alternative to wellies which I find tend to be cold and uncomfortable when gardening or washing the car. I spotted these which I think look great! They have really good tread which provides good grip even in sodden slipper clay and they have a soft lining and good cushioned sole. I can wear these all day no problem and they are totally waterproof and wash well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very very stiff These boots are OK for general site work. They are very good in water and mud but are far too stiff for my needs. I'm a driver and there is no give in them at all. The lower part of the boot doesn't give at all. Wouldn't really recommend.
