Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth fettling! Needed to cut accurately and my old cheap saws had a mind of their own. Hoped this one with tension adjustment, and a chunky frame I could put my forefinger along, would be better. Had to cut the slot at the frame end to take the thicker pins of Eclipse blades as Screwfix didn't have Irwin junior blades. And pulled off the handle, put the frame in a large vice and twisted it to get the blade slot to run dead in line with the length of the frame. Am I being too fussy? Should be great now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cutting made easy Easy to use , seems pretty durable . Good buy for the price

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt Even Get To Use It! This frame / handle has an inherent design flaw. It cannot take standard hacksaw blades! The problem is where the front of the blade goes into the saw, it doesn't fit so not able to put a new blade in - standard blades anyway. Screwfix does not state this on the page for this hacksaw handle so the buyer would never know. Neither does Screwfix suggest or recommend a blade that will fit. Therefore, poor product design by Irwin and also poor show on Screwfix for not being aware of this constraint.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eclipse wood blade fit problem I had the same problem as the 14 March 2016 reviewer, but only with Eclipse wood blades. I had bought two saws to avoid changing blades and both were the same. 5 mins each with a flat Swiss needle file fixed them. Apart from this I would have given a higher rating. No problem if you only want to use the metal blades.
