Irwin Quick-Grip 18" XP Bar Clamp is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Quality Clamp A heavy quality German product. To reverse the clamp heads for use as a spreader, it seems that the heads cannot be detached from the bar without removing one of the end stop pins. Of course if you needed to often reverse the heads you could leave the pin off. The bar seems to be coated with something like 'Black Lead' which comes off on your hands so I rubbed the bar down with WD40 before first use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong reliable clamps Good, strong clamps. Could be a bit cheaper. Would be useful if the end pads swivelled 90 degrees.
