LAP Fire Rated Fixed Recessed LED Downlight IP65 White 4.5W is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lights ... 1 LED Drivers ... 0 Bought two of these. Noticeable air of quality on the light housing. All looks and feels good. The lights are family bright (40W equivalent) with the 'Warm White' tone nicely balanced. Installation is a standard affair with a 62mm cut-out. Springs are 'Biblical' in strength but these hold the unit firm when fitted. (Can be a bit tricky to remove unit again though without effectively 'mouse trapping' a finger). MY ISSUE ... The LED driver / transformer supplied with these units have scewless terminal blocks. Whilst i'm sure meant to save time, I found these to be basically unreliable! They did not grip the wires sufficiently and saw me remove the then fitted light on two separate occasions. (This is how i know that removing a fitted light is difficult and in my case, gave me a left hand like 'Digit' the gorilla!) As stated in another review ... stripping the cables longer (exposing more copper) eventually fixed this point sufficiently. A really good product (Light) let down slightly by sub-standard ancillaries (Driver).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be so much better Just used these lights for the first, (and also the last), time. The light output and quality are good but there are two big problems with them: the first being the push fit connectors for the wiring are not reliable enough and the wires are not held well enough, the second is that the spring is too strong and big so when you have to get the light back out of the ceiling because the wires have come out of the connectors it wrecks the edge of the hole in the plasterboard..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great lights! Bad connections! Such a shame. Great price, good finish on beszal, good beam angle, swallow fitting(for small ceiling voids), separate light fitting and driver(great for first fix) and really bad connections in driver. The cable is not tight enough in the push fit connections. If you give the cores a bit of tug, they come straight out. Until they change design, I won't be using them again.
