Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect finishing sander As per other reviews, great piece of kit with minimal vibration, light and effective dust extraction. Paper secured easily and punch for extraction holes a nest touch. Hope the extra £20 over cheaper products is worth it in the long run. Would be 5 stars if it came with a carry case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good I bought another I volunteer as a handyman at an RSPB reserve and when I was given the chance to equip a new workshop I bought one of these palm sanders after reading the reviews, along with a whole load of other tools from Screwfix. Great sander that I have used on many jobs and it helps me achieve a good finish every time from nest boxes to new garage/workshop doors. I had heard that these can be bad for vibration, but when our Health and Safety inspector tested this one it came out with a really low score. The only problem is that it is very popular and keeps disappearing from the workshop - so we bought another!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best palm sander. As I have got fed up lugging the required transformer when working in domestic situations I decided to buy the 230v version. I have owned the 110v version for 4 years without a problem, with almost daily use.I have tried all the other makes prior to my purchase, then settled for the makita for these reasons: build quality, comfort of use, noise, paper clamping and dust extraction. There was no question in my mind as to whether to buy a different make or get another makita. you do get what you pay for. If you want a tool for reliability and continued use the look no further.
