Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid powerful saw Chose Makita because of the excellent Makita combi drill I have had for several years. Bought this for help in removing flooring joists in a major DIY house renovation. Excellent for effortlessly cutting through lots of big joists when otherwise using a handsaw would have been very tiring. Great for cuting up timber close to walls and above you. I reckon the money I saved doing the work myself easily covered the cost of the Makita.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent piece of kit A solid powerful saw. Fitted with a long enough power lead reducing the need for an extension lead. Saws through timber really quickly. The blades included are decent and produce a clean cut. Being Makita I know it will give reliable service because all my other Makita tools have proved sturdy and reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Frills - No Fuss Had to lift 30sq.m of 100 year old T+G flooring without trashing it. Me, a thin wrecking bar and Mr.Makita with a 300mm flexible blade did it in 2 hours without a hitch - scared the Missus though! Went through the job like a hot knife through butter. A solid no frills tool (as usual) from Makita. Looking forward to leaving it to my kids when I shuffle of my perch in 30 years time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another brilliant makita tool I started out with a power devil recip saw. It was good for nothing but setting the bare minimum standard. I found it hard to believe that it could be so rubbish and actually work. In the end I lost my rag with it and bought the makita. Wow! I could not believe that I had put up with "the other saw" for so long. The makita has the easy fitting blade clip, a soft start and it seems to glide along the steel rather than bite into it on every other stroke. I find I get far more life out of the blades now and am less tired and frustrated after the job.
