Makita LS1040/2 260mm Single-Bevel Compound Mitre Saw 240V is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makita chopsaw 110volt Another good tool from Makita, does what it says on the box. Cutting width is actually 120 mm when cutting wood of 25 mm thickness. Still the same old problem with makita power cables ,only 2 metre cable needs to be 3 metres.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makita quality !! Does what it says on the tin...the dust extraction bag does work and the saw is stable on the work bench and extremely easy to use. The extension arms are great and with adjustable feet allow you to stabilize the whole machine for large work pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb quality After reading all the reviews of the cheaper models I decided to treat myself to this higher priced saw. The quality of the machine is superb and the accuracy of the cut straight out of the box is very impressive. I've been using this today to cut western red cedar deck boards and it has cut flawlessly square every time with no splinters on the cut at all. It is very solidly built and easy to assemble. Mechanically very simple and designed to simply do the job properly. This piece of kit will take its rightful place next to my old Myford lathe - it's that kind of quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Precision as standard Very impressed with this piece of kit. Set up the stops etc and it gives precise cuts that you can rely on every time. Bought this as a replacement saw, not many features, so less to go wrong. There is a dust bag that actually works, so it can be done. The only thing they seemed to have overlooked is using a stupid philips screw to hold the extensions in place. Made my own up into little "T" bars. The extensions also have adjustable feet, which was a nice touch. Overall, very happy with it. Makita make tools to earn your living with. Buy it, it's worth it.
