Manrose CF100T is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fan/bad timer A powerful fan although the timer does not work but this is OK for a toilet. It would probably have got 5 stars if timer worked. Very fiddly connection so I fitted a flying lead before starting to ease the wiring. Instructions not brilliant - clockwise depends on which side you view it from.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but didn't last long .. Easy to fit and performs much better than earlier model fitted to bathroom with both better extraction rate and slightly quieter operation. Sadly it broke down in about 10 weeks - complete failure of the extractor motor - but was replaced without difficulty. Hopefully we were just unlucky and this model will work much longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fan Bought as a replacement for a 10-year old Manrose fan, in WC. Had to cut down pipe on fan where joins outlet, but it was only on closer inspection that I realised this had been done on original. Anyway, fits and works - just hope this one lasts 10-years. This is a ceiling mounted fan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute rubbish! How anyone can describe this fan as anything other than rubbish is beyond me. It may well have a powerful fan, but the casing is so badly designed that much of the air it displaces is actually blown right back into the room either through the fan grill (I kid you not) or through holes in the casing. I ordered the model with no pull-string. It was in fact the very same as the pull string model except they had just taken out the pull string switch, leaving a hole through which air was blown by the fan! The casing which fits into a supposed 4" aperture for the fan ducting is not straight sided but shaped like a trumpet horn requiring some skilful carving of the wall in order to accommodate it. I found it did not sit flush on the wall, and blew air out from behind the filling through the fitting holes and other gaps. When I eventually decided to replace this with a decent fan, I found water had been collecting behind the casing, damaging the underlying plaster work. Overall, an unbelievably poor design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good vfm Bought two of these to replace some of the cheap steeple axial fans that my house builder had incorrectly installed. Have one in the bathroom and one in the adjacent en-suite, and both are connected up to a single duct and vent to outside. Main problem before was lack of backdraft shutters in the cheap axial fans, which meant the wet stale air would move from bathroom to e/s, and not vent to outside. The backdraft shutters on these manrose centrifugal fans stops the cross-flow from room to room, and the centrifugal (rather than axial) design means it is better suited to overcome the pressure drop over longer ducting lengths (and of course the T-connector my builder had put in). Downside is that these are a deeper unit than axial fans and therefore intrude more into the room - but there is no getting around that really because they are a centrifugal design. At just £20 each, these are an excellent bargain. Worth the premium over axial fans, and worth the premium for the timer function. Good waterproofing within the unit as well, protects against condensate (compared with no waterproofing for the £10 Steeple branded axial fans). Can't really comment on reliability - but I certainly don't expect this to rust because of the protection against condensate.
