Manrose MG100T 20W Gold Standard Axial Bathroom Extractor Fan w/Timer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 119.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as described Catalogue says it has a backdraft shutter. No, it doesn't. This is an offence under the Sale of Goods Act. Otherwise, nice little fan, timer can be wired out if so required. 3 stars for reliability 'cause it's too early to say.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Timer not working The Timer is not working, although the fan is working fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really noisy I'm actually looking for another one as this is awful - the noise starts ok and increases by the minute until you can't bare it anymore. I keep using the mirror light instead of the main one just to avoid turning it on. It's horrendous!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the original Brilliant replacement fan.Much quieter than what was originally installed by the builder and seems to have more amor movement. I would go for this make again anytime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FanTastic. Fitted this replacement fan in jig time. First thing I noticed was that it's very quiet and a good quality product. I've no hesitation to recommend this fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i'm a fan of this fan An excellent fan for a bathroom or small toilet. Good air movement, quiet, with variable timer. Used to replace an old manrose fan. External dimensions are the same but required new fixing holes. Shame that manrose couldn't use the same spacings for the fixings. It would have been even easier.......

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bathroom extractor fan project I am overall very satisfied with the extractor fan. It is relatively quiet in operation and performs well in its extraction abilities. the only reason for marking it down on its 'reliability' is because I find the timer to be occasionally inconsistent. It took some time to get the dial positioning in the right place to suit my needs which is standard for such a device. However, having found the correct length of time for the overrun to continue (about 15 mins), I find that this is not always the way it behaves. On activation the fan will occasionally only run a few seconds, so I have to re-activate it. I have installed a rocker switch to activate the switched-live feed so the switch immediately springs off. This may give reason for there only being a small current running to the timer and this is not a real problem as I am generally still near the switch when the fan does not continue. It is the occasions when I am already in the shower and the fan stops after say 1-2 mins that is annoying. This is the 'only' fault I have with the product, it happens on perhaps 5% of activations and this still does not dissuade me from having installed it in the first place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Typical Manrose fan I chose this as I was replacing a 'quiet' Manrose fan that had started to go wrong just out of guarantee. There wasn't much information available about fixing position or placement of internal connections and I was hoping for a simple swap without drilling new holes etc. That was successful although the terminal block was slightly higher in this model right at the top of the enclosure. Same order for the 3 connections (1.Neutral/ 2.Switched live / 3. Permanent live). This is the cheapest part of the fan, with the block feeling a bit flimsy, as is the next door circuit board enclosure. Once installed it works well enough and I am in the 'not too noisy' camp, as it doesn't seem louder than the quiet version it replaced, despite the higher decibel rating. The one drawback for me is that there is no shutter on the outlet side as there was on the previous model, although the cellophane type springs on that model were also cheap and ineffective. If you want a shutter, Manrose do a separate one that fits on the back of the fan. Too early to say about reliability but a 5 year guarantee gives some confidence and another reason I chose this model.
