Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Kit Have bought three of these now for our family's homes. Very good value and straightforward to fit as replacement for older extractor fans. Quieter than ceiling mounted ones and useful to have the timer feature.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basic inline fan, does the job In recent years fan manufacturers have responded to customers' requirements for quieter and more powerful extractor fans... but this basic model still sounds like a Wellington bomber and pulls OK along a metre of so of ducting but no further. And beware using it if there's a prevailing wind blowing against the external grille - the wind will win every time. Still, in the right situation this kit is fine. Dunno about the grey exterior grille, I prefer brown on traditional brick, and there's no backdraught shutter on either the fan or the grille. Lots of negatives in this review, which reflects the fact that I only use this when the environment is suitable, otherwise I go for a higher quality fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fitted a few. Great item I've fitted a lot of these, only niggle is the inlet flange isn't long enough. the outlet has about 3 inches to slide flexible tube over and is fine. The inlet has only about 1/2" and it's difficult to get tube to stay on. I use electrical tape both ends instead of the supplied cable ties which don't grip very well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy Keeps on going but is annoyingly noisy is use . And it's getting noisier as the day goes on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement extractor fan Bought this to replace an old fan unit, fitted and running in 20 mins, easy to follow instructions. So far it is working fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement fan Brought this fan to replace existing 'in line extractor fan' simple connections, worked out the box, timer easy to adjust - recommend adjusting prior to connecting ducting (as obstructs) works fine, unable to rate on reliability (they send out email too soon to rate reliability) does what it says on the box

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low vibration This unit has been purchased to replace an inline rubbish fan the builder fitted. The kit is cheaper than buying all the parts so its good value for this reason. I did some tests on this unit and noted the position the fan blades stop each time it was turned off. From these tests I can see, on the bench, the blades are balanced. The balance of the fan blades is important as out of balance blades make vibration. The fan this replaces vibrated so much from an out of balance blade set, that it sounded like a helicopter landing. This new fan does have a very small amount of vibration, so try not to screw it to a sounding board like the ceiling joists and plaster board. If possible mount on a roof joist/truss as this is stiffer and will not vibrate so easily. I have gone the extra distance and made a anti-vibration mount for this unit. Contact me for details, as it an easy DIY job and uses pipe insulation, broom handle and MDF and some screws all available from Screwfix. As only just fitted can not say how it is for length of life.
