McAlpine Appliance Trap White 40mm is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from its a trap It's a trap with an appliance connector. You fit it to your sink, it traps water and you can connect an appliance outlet to it.... just like a trap should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always works and never leaks If you need a waste, use a McAlpine. I've used maybe three or four of wither this one, or the dual inlet version of this waste over the last year. Two of them were to replace cheaper wastes that were leaking and being a pain. Any cheap waste can be water tight, but they can take a lot of fiddling with to get leak proof, and even then slow drips can start after a few days. With these, every single time they just screw together by hand, and are watertight first time and every time. I don't even look at others anymore, I just save the hassle and always get this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Trap Really easy to fit with the two adjustable sections of the trap. A well thought out product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good, versatile 40mm "Trap" This Mc Alpine 40 mm Trap is well made, robust and versatile, due to being able to undo the two lower nuts to alter the position of all sections. The threads are well engineered to enable a good, tight fit without the threads "jumping". I have no reason to doubt that the "Trap" will give good service. JUST REMEMBER that the Appliance spigot arrives with the INPUT HOLE SEALED!. I didn't so, had to remove the spigot, after fitting, to cut off the 2mm, approx.,"blank"!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No fitting probs!! What more can I say but echo the other reviews. Fits perfectly, quickly with no leaks. Bit more expensive that the other brands but worth the extra money!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leak free fit first time It's hard to get excited about something as seemingly dull as a trap but the thing with all the mcalpine kit I've come across, this included, is that it's as close as you can come to ensuring a leak free first time fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plumbing I bought this but it did not screw into the sink part until I had bought an adapter from the local plumbers. It looks good quality and this was my only difficulty. There seems to be a variation in screw fittings according to the seasoned plumber I spoke to as I am only a DIYER.
