MK 13A 1-Gang DP Switched Plug Socket White is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad These are a good quality construction overall but the terminals on the back are poor. So easy to round them off with little force. Would expect better for the price that mk charge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Does exactly the job they say they do. I prefer these MK sockets to other brands I've used for a number of reasons. No corners have been cut - both facing screw holes are connected to earth, unlike one of the other brands that only has 1 earthed. What's the point of that? If you've a faulty live back box and take out the earthed one first, then the other one is going to get you? (yes yes, isolate the supply). The terminals are all laid out in a row, rather than on opposite corners of the socket. This makes wiring them up a doddle, you're not twisting and turning, and getting all the wires dressed so they fit when you're attaching it to the wall is a simple fluid rotation and press motion. None of this trying to guide multiple wires independently into the cavity. Finally, there are two earthing terminals on both sides - this is nice as you can connect a back-box earthing strap on one end, and then the mains earthing wires on the other without trying to jam them all into a single terminal and having one or the other falling out. Used to replace clunky old sockets in a bungalow from the 70s, the sort where you required a small hammer to insert a plug. The difference is night and day. The orange ON indicator mark is also easier for those with poor eyesight or at a glance to tell if something is on, rather than an alternative brand which printed 'On' in very small black letters. Or the old sockets which had no indication at all, you just had to remember if up or down was on... or off... Just makes your life easier, through being properly and thoughtfully designed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product This is a nice smart product and is great for the job I had in hand. Seems to be good quality and doesn't snap when tightening up the screws. The terminals seemed rugged and had nice heads on them so they didn't sheer when tightened up the terminals. A couple of things to watch out for. It doesn't come with screw caps so if you want a clean finish pick up some of these to fill in the holes. It wasn't important for the job I was doing as it was hidden. Other thing to watch out for is if you are using wago connectors in the back the back of the socket is quite deep. I had to fit the wagos and socket into a shallow back box and in hindsight it was a bit tight. It fitted but it was a little tight.
