Rated 1 out of 5 by from This lets down MK's reputation I have specified MK accessories on many projects which I have designed (typically major new-build and refurb hospital projects) over the last 40 years. MK has a well-earned reputation for reliable products which are installer friendly, and I thought I knew the Logic 2 range well, having visited the factory with their rep for the launch many years ago, and never having had a bad report from the many electricians employed on my sites . However, the fuse carrier in the one I bought was very tight when I unscrewed it before installation, and when installed it would not relocate to allow the screw to pull it into place, even though I made several attempts and eventually used what I considered excessive force. The location was at high level behind a new cooker hood I was installing at home, not an easy place to put much force into it. I read the reviews on the Screwfix site and was astounded to find that several described this problem one even saying that the body of the FCU broke due to it. I noted that some reviews said that the carrier went in if enough force was used, anf being up against my wife's deadline I decided to try that, so I removed the unit from the wall and put my weight on it on the worktop. The carrier did indeed pop back into place and the screw did then pull it in with some effort with the screwdriver, and I re-installed the unit which worked fine. BUT I dread having to replace the fuse if ever it blows! MK really do need to sort this out, it is clearly a fairly common fault and must be harming their reputation out there in the field.
