Monument Tools Tap Reseating Tool is rated 4.566037735849057 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tap Reseating Tool Simple but effective tap reseating tool. Although contains plastic components which centre the tool and screw into the tap body, they are nevertheless more than adequate for the job and unlikely to fail in operation. Operation of the tool is simple requiring modest pressure whilst rotating the cutting head. The tap I was repairing had a very badly damaged seat and obviously would require more than 5-6 turns to effect a proper seal with the tap washer. However patience and persistency paid off and some 100 turns later the reseating tool had produced a perfectly smooth finish on the brass seat. Reassembling the tap resulted in perfection requiring only the lightest pressure to seal it against mains pressure and drip free. Highly Recommended and more effective compared to heavier 'more professional' reseating tools used in the past

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and works a treat! I'm not a plumber, so tackle plumbing jobs with a few reservations. Whilst changing a tap washer, I noticed the tap washer seat was all corroded & rough. I bought one of these. Selected the right threaded adapter and cutter from those included and it worked in seconds. Just a few twists and the job was done. It's simple and works a treat! I think it's cheap too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic tool This is my first tap reseating tool and I'm not disappointed. I have re-seated a few taps and it does the job very quickly. I think this product will last a long time. Great value for money. There are more expensive tools but as I'm not plumbing everyday this fits the bill. A small gripe there is no space on the tool to store all the cutting discs. Would highly recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job This tool is good, has done the job and now the tap not long drips. The only surprise was when reading the information on the back of the packaging, it clearly states "Not for use in the UK"! Can see why not?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little tool This tap reseating tool has three cutting/grinding heads which most others have not. It is easy to use, just select the correct threaded bush, screw on the appropriate head, screw into the body of the tap. Then it's just a case of applying pressure as you turn the black knob. Very quick and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tap reseating tool I wish i had bought one years ago - at this price it's a steal & no more dripping taps did all the taps while the water was off!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Avoids a new tap unit I had a persistent drip from the cold side of a mixer unit. The tap is integral to the plug hole linkage and I really didn't want to renew it all. The seat had a deep erosion channel and it took two hours to grind it out. I was oh so tempted to cut off the black handle and attach the steel shaft to my drill! A few tips: wear a glove if the job looks to be lengthy - I got a blister. Remove the tool regularly and brush the brass swarf from the cutting head. On a standard basin tap it helps to alternate between the smallest cutter and the mid-sized cutter - but always finish with the correct sized head for a smooth level finish. The correct size cutter will usually be the same diameter as the washer.
