Nest S3003LW 2nd Generation Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A superb product This a very high quality product. Very easy to took me a few minutes to install. I have installed two units of these. Will install a few more by replacing old once. My only concern is that its very expensive. To me it seems worth £40-£50, hence 4 star rating otherwise 5 star

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very clever tech Does all you would expect from a smoke alarm, one added extra if you have Philips hue lighting? In an emergency it will turn all lights red (the best Colour for escape in smoke) probably loads more not looked in to it much...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than most, maybe all Not just a smoke/co2 alarm. If you don't use a smart phone or tablet you may as well buy something cheaper This device connects via the internet and will send you alerts as well as heads up notification of smoke or co2 build up rather than go off if you burn a bit of toast. It knows the difference between smoke and steam from a shower It links to all units you have installed so all go of if there's smoke or co2, it talks to you and tells you where the problem is. It has a movement activated night light and is simple to install if you can read and are a tiny bit internet savvy. 4 stars because i have no way of assessing reliability, only had one for four years and never had a fire

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Great product, clear instructions easy installation. Pricey if all you want is a smoke detector but this is so much more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fancy-Pants Smoke Alarm I purchased two of these devices (wired variants) to go alongside my Nest Thermostat and am very impressed overall. Installation was fairly easy (took ~15 minutes per device, including removing the existing non-smart smoke alarms) and I love the amount of self-checking and testing that is available. The integration with the Nest App is great, very simple to use and understand what is going on with both smoke alarms. I have a strong WiFi signal throughout my house, so have not had any connection drops at all. The night-light feature is also handy (have turned the brightness up to maximum), especially if a member of my family wakes up in the middle of the night and needs to get to the toilet without worrying about things like light switches. Overall, great product - just wish it was a tiny bit cheaper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install, nice features I bought this as my second nest protect to install on my landing. Installation was very easy and was soon set up (different story with my 1st generation one). Choose this as liked the night time pathlight function which "glows" with movement sensors, great for nightime bathroom trips for me and guests. The movement sensor can also be set up to link to my nest thermostat to tell it your still in the house and not to go into "eco or away" mode. Looks great on ceiling and works well. Its a lot more expensive than standard smoke detectors but is packed with loads of features, so justifys price. 10 year product life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Already got 2no 3rd gen nest thermostats installed, which work perfectly. These were recomended by the installer so thought I would give them a go. Installed 2no took about 30minutes to setup and install, work with out any problems. Night light is a really good idea, and as far as smoke alarms go they look smart as well. Ignore negative comments, you won`t regret buying any nest product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I have been wanting one of these fro a while, but could not justify the cost, then the built in battery went on one of my existing units.... fantastic. Remember to connect the nest to your wi-fi, prior to installing, I was halfway through when I realised. It feels very solid and looks vey good quality. I do think they are expensive, so I only bought one so I'll see how it performs before committing to buying more. I already have hard wired alarms, so went for the same. I managed to fit this myself, I'm no electrician, the wiring was a bit confusing, not the nest but the existing wiring, so a quick check on line and it was up! It took a few attempts to get it to recognise my Wi-Fi and Nest Thermostat, I did the IT thing and switched it off/on, and bingo, but that could have been because I completed the test before realising that I should have connected first! I'm looking forward to being able to silence the alarm from the couch while the wife is cooking! (please don't tell her I said that!)
